Bryce Campbell is more significant than any of those names. IMHO of course.

My apologies or forgetting Campbell, most certainly a significant 'in'.

Nonetheless, there is seemingly a large reliance on AFL players at Coopers Stadium?

Hey Wedge

He was fantastic last night !!

Dont know the stats but he would of had a fair share of it and he was so enthusiastic it was infectious on the players and the crowd very easily warmed to him - well maybe the double blue crowd any way !!!

We were actually questioning why you wouldnt want him ???

Being free from trying to impress AFL selectors might have something to do with it?
Or maybe he wants to win a magarey as he's done his apprenticeship at North.

Perrie is the Matthew Richardson of the SANFL.

Have a look at how many Grand Finals Matthew Richardson has played in the AFL (or Ian Perrie has played in the SANFL) and you'll get your answer there pure and simple.

Nice bloke, don't get me wrong, and he'll kick the occasional bag on the 2nd or 3rd best defender of a crap SANFL side's defenseive unit but don't expect too much more. I hope he does well but... :?

I honestly wish him the best, not as much as I wish Hargs the best as Hargs put in more for my club, but I do wish him well. Was never a fan of the Sarge and told that to his face but full marks to the guy he did accept the criticism and was appreciative of me being honest to him.

That was the funny thing last night as Perrie needed to be checked and the Norwood coach let him go at will - hey if we get 9 goals out of our 3 main targets most games as we did last night we should win more than we lose so you would think !!!

In the end Perrie kicked more than the whole Norwood team last night and that probably came down to oppurtunity and I rekon he took it with both hands !!!

Definatley, I don't deserve any respect but the Sarge deserve's a hell of respect as if I was him and some drunken bum told me his opinion of me I'd tell him to **** off but the Sarge was great bloke to talk to and full of class.

Ironcially I had a similar conversation with Ross Aloisi today who was at the game today following the Eagles, I told him of my dislike of Adelaide United and how I really enjoyed the Victory belting AU 6 nill a couple of seasons ago but him and me got along like a house on fire. Mind you I think I got him 'onside' by reminding him of the awesome goal he scored for the Mighty Adelaide City in a Prelim in 91(ish) against South Melbourne to get us into a Grand Final that we eventually won.

Im only a joe blow with no talent in any sport I played but I do tell things straight to people no matter if they're Michael Jordan or some bloke who can't get a gig for Noarlunga's C Grade in Southern League, I think people I chat to can see that in me too and appreciate my honesty. I think that anyone on this site who has met me personally will back me up in that statement. My problem at times is Im too honest but that's me.

NM, Im sure you could appreciate that, and I look forward to one day catching up with you and discussing sports. :D

Would like to be able to relate to it, but sadly not ... If Perrie had a performace in him like last night though, then I think you guys missed out on a lot.

See previous posts as already discussed. We've missed out on nothing. We miss Hargs and Ebel more than we'll ever miss Perrie.

if perrie continues that form, it may have just been a case of he needed a new environment to play in.

sometimes players are tired of their surroundings and altho they havent gotten worse, they just need to move on.

i hope perrie can have a successfull season.

Barring a blowout in today's game, we'll be sitting on top.

Fester!

Was wearing my Sturt beanie until an unnamed Norwood Member actually threw it nearly into Woods St.

The Norwood Cap was a present for Financial Norwood Members. Thanks Domenic! :D

Sturt didn't have presentations at the Arkaba due to the late finish to the game.

Nothing better than having a Bundie and Cola in the Cordial RSL Club at Norwood, anyway.
