I didnt see Beardy play last year but know him pretty well, he's a good solid little onballer who is also pretty handy in a forward pocket, and like a lot of the Jervoi$ recruits he played out at South with Mahoney. Good value out on the turps as well! Have heard him criticised in the past for not doing enough in big games or when it gets a bit hard - but hey i suppose you can say that about a lot of players. Ha ha especially ones that move to clubs for $$$!

I think its Hardly_Super who is a Valley's poster? Be interesting to see what he thinks.

Im glad Brock can make assumptions for me!
have played with but havent played senior footy with Beardy however watched him play abit of 20/20 at valleys last year and was impressed. No hard feelings from the valleys as far as i can tell he left on good terms! good luck Beardy

Sometimes a team just plays and their ability does the talking. Just because a team wins 4 premierships in a row does not guarantee that 92.87% of that team believes they rate the coach highly. They might just have a very good squad who know what to do to get the job done.
I've heard rumblings come out of Morphett Vale on the weekend, but this was a reserve grader so I just put it down to sour grapes whilst drunk. Ive listened to Hill during the breaks on several occassions & I think he does that very well. Maybe he lacks direction & fairness, but I'm not there so I can't comment. The Morphy boys will back Hill 100% on here for the sake of keeping a positive vibe, just as Cove boys will not say a bad word against Ando, and just as 'Fly' will tell everyone that the playing group love the coach & things are bright & rosey at Winefly land. Unfortunately in country & junior/school football, even poor coaches get a premiership title next to their name.

I.J. sour grapes would be it mate.Hilly is a very good coach and he does things his way regardless what other people think. When he took over Emus Agrade he was on a hiding to nothing. He has been good for the players and will not let complacency be a factor in their premiership defence. He also puts in alot of hard work with the junior program.
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

Easter is done, and i would assume trials will be in full force this week. Who is everyone playing? I know the Bushpigs have Kangarilla but that's it.

Aldinga coming off a big win in their trial match the other week as well, will be a good chance to find how much they have improved! Good to see if the confidence that appears in the Aldinga Sharks Forum thread can be replicated on the field

Are Lonsdale struggling to fill a B Grade team? They would want to have numbers by now to be competitive in either grade this year, would't they?

Not sure if there are other committments out at lonsdale but have heard they have been at most getting 25-maximum 30 out for trainings. All the late lads will come in now I'd imagine. Also know for a fact that the most Noarlunga have had out at any one time is 28 aswell so a bit of depth could be the difference between some of these bottom clubs.

CT the trial against flinders was interesting pretty much a B grade game, The boys do like to talk themselves up a bit ha ha. All in all were just excited about the start of the season to get some real points, these trials are merely a formality to get an idea of how the team is gelling. We certainly would like to feel confident, but honestly the only way we can go is up. Good luck to everyone else in their trials this weekend at least most grounds should be alot softer.

Not really for this forum, but seeing as he has coached/played in our league Trevor Mitton has taken up a "Football Director's" role with the Panther's as of a week and a half ago, looks like Golding will play/coach Towns this year... What a time of year to pull out, saw him at the Crown at Victor a couple weekend's ago when both our clubs were there...

Wow good to see local footy moving in to prime time viewing! Any idea why they are playing on a Saturday night?

Good luck to your Shark's Rodney Fox, everyone (possibly with the exception of Hackham) would like to see Aldinga improve and move up the ladder. Wasn't that long ago us Emus were sitting down the bottom end of the ladder, a good coach and strong leadership group was the start of our turn around and it sounds (from what i can tell on here) like you blokes are on the right track.

Our numbers are better than they have been in previous years thats for sure. No where near yours I bet, last night was about 40 blokes with alot of apologies so its been good in that respect.

Thanks CT yeah its still a long road to travel and alot of hiccups but we've got some good enthusiasm and a good core group of players, so just trying to bridge the gap at the moment, time will tell.

Would be nice to string a few more wins thats for sure......who knows what's around the corner? We'd be stupid to think were the only side trying to catch the likes of you guys. We definately wont under estimate any of the sides in this league in our future thats for sure. I'm positive and hopefull about the year ahead as I know everyone else on here is aswell.

Has Bode and Greenbank headed out to South this year. I'd imagine Porter would had been very quick to swoop on those two. He had a grin from Cheek to Cheek when he gave out the South Medal to Bode last year.
