The only reason Harrowfield would be considering returning to Ports is because of the centenary year. The sticking point however is he is not returning for free and Ports have to decide whether they can afford him. There is also a rumour Cummins Ramblers are also making enquiries about him, and with a fatter chequebook.

But I am only getting this from a Ports player who told a bloke who told another bloke.
I'm reading a book about anti-gravity. I can't put it down.

would be the only way i could see him going back there... is with a lot of $$$

i have also heard stories that cummins ramblers are one of the few clubs left, if not the only club in the state who have never paid anyone for footy?? sounds like a stretch but have heard it many times. so sounds bizarre that they would be offering a huge payment to him?

surely if he did go home, it would be to his 'home' club, not cummins?

sounds like the country grapevine has been enjoying the warm weather and is in full swing :D

but the problem is that his home club is only around for one last season....this one. Then he is up for grabs again.

As for Cummins Ramblers not paying anyone could be true.....could not be either payment may not go through the club.......

yeah i agree, if he wants to go home, which i hear he does (eventually), it would be a pity to miss out on your clubs last year.
would not be an easy thing for him to uproot his family and move back to the coast if he was not totally ready for it though. but i guess you never know. although i would imagine that once he moves home, he would stay there.

as far as the other topic goes i dunno what you are referring to but think it is saying that players are paid through other means?? i guess footy clubs finding employment for new players is not a new concept and surely cant be described as 'being a paid player' can it?

Heard from someone at the club that it was cancelled due to the heat, the senior grades are now playing tonight against Strath at Strath.

I've heard that Joe Pedler played in an internal trial for Mypo the other night..

Anyone know if there was a segment in the Standard about Imps this week?

Can anyone tell me how Scotty Crouch (I think from Jervois) travels?? he looks the part in terms of a quality footballer and is a good bloke, but doesn’t give anything away when it comes to his footy. Like trying to squeeze blood out of a stone. :)

Not a bad young player, has played both in the back pocket and further up the ground. Has managed to make the Jervois side the last 3 or 4 years despite it being very $trong.

Why the interest Silent Bob?

With only two weeks to go before the season kicks off, most teams would be having a final kick out this Saturday, who is everyone playing??? I think someone mentioned before that Jervois are playing Myponga, anyone else care to share their trial game info?
