I take my hat off to lads like that, wanting to improve their footy by having a crack at a higher level.
They can only improve so long as they don't expect too much too early.

I've seen him carve games up and win them off his own boot! Ok, it was in division 6, but i reckon his ability will surprise a few once he finds his feet. Big loss for WC though. He was normally at the top of the list of players to stop when playing West Croydon. Hope he goes well

Yeah he doesnt look like much of a footballer but has bags of talent. Great set of hands and can play tall and good at ground level too. Hard to say how he will go being a massive jump from div 6 to div 1.

I think he will find it easier, alot quicker but he will find the ball is delivered alot better and if your in the right spot, you will receive the ball.

Woodcock was the only player selected in the under 23's last year that came from a div lower than div 2, so that must prove something. From what i've seen when playing against him he looks in the same mould as say Justin Westhoff from Port. Similar frame with pace and awesome skills...Good luck stiffy!

A draw, A fairly high standard game for early in the season, both clubs would be happy, not a bad crowd

I will say from the sounds of things he is well liked as everyone is keen for him to do well. But although he may have been selected for the under 23's state, due to injury he did not play so there is no measuring stick there. I just hope in a few rounds time he dosent get found out and make a runner back to West Croydon, just like a couple of those boys have done already this year. Someone must have talked those boys into thinking they were all super stars or something, there was even one trying to get a gig at the eagles, what a joke!! Good luck 2 him though :)
