Speaking with a few of the McLarens lads today who stated they had a few young Reynella boys out there training. Word has it Dave Evans caught wind of this and has promised them all A grade games if they don't leave the club. Big promise... sounds like a politicians promise to me. Not sure exactly where he's going to fit them in that paid for side. Perhaps he thinks he can field more than 21 players now.

Spoke to a mate at Hackham a few weeks back who said they had picked a fair few up, but still dont have the basic numbers to compete solidly in the As and Bs, still a lot of young blokes. However he reckons they will be a lot stronger than last year, and wont finish bottom. With Dingy also sounding like they have improved, who would replace these 2 as wooden spooners? Morphie Park or Noarlunga maybe? Havent heard much from either of them yet.

You still believe I'm from McLarens... I'll ride with that. I know a few people at McLarens and they are looking to promote their younger brigade and keep the local lads there. They're going through a bit of a tough period but they'll come out alright. I'm not sure about the $100 a game thing... could just be talk for ego's sake. Those young Reynella lads went out there for a reason fly... let's hope Evans keeps good on his promise. We know that isn't bull***t as you say. McLarens probably won't play finals this year but at least they're looking after their local lads and heading in the right direction.

Why is that Panther - want to know if you should tap it to him or nor not next year?

I didnt see Beardy play last year but know him pretty well, he's a good solid little onballer who is also pretty handy in a forward pocket, and like a lot of the Jervoi$ recruits he played out at South with Mahoney. Good value out on the turps as well! Have heard him criticised in the past for not doing enough in big games or when it gets a bit hard - but hey i suppose you can say that about a lot of players. Ha ha especially ones that move to clubs for $$$!

I think its Hardly_Super who is a Valley's poster? Be interesting to see what he thinks.

I'm not sure Hardly_Super knows Beardy all that well. From what I remember of Beardy from years past is that he's a handy onballer with good balance.

I am not involved with the flies but can confirm that McLaren have offered some young flies $100 a game regardless of what grade they play and also a few hundred to sign on. Not sure how buying imports if promoting their young brigarde.
