Ah ok yeah there would be a fair gap in the standard from VH and div 1 amateurs.

Edwardstown are Div 2 amateurs aren't they? From what I've heard Comer isn't going to play footy at all... but then again a lot of players say that for the attention factor (continual phone calls from coaches etc). Comer doesn't know what Comer's going to do - he played the 20/20 comp with Edwardstown.

Strathalbyn will beat Tailem Bend by 15-20 goals. Tailems have struggled in the past few years and Strath are top 3 in the GSFL.

Have heard that Yank are not having any trial games before the season starts. Interesting!!

At last they will be underfeited coming into the real stuff.

I drove past the Strath oval just as they were starting their trial match against Tailem Bend tonight and watched the 1st quarter. I didn't see the scoreboard but Strath were doing it pretty easy. Tailem only had one or two inside 50's I reckon.

speaking to a good freind of mine today who plays a big part in the fortunes of Langhorne Ck and he told me that he was not that confident that they would make the top
3 due to all the players they have lost from theirt GF side. Also today was told Mt Compass doing very well with recruits but have not quite worked out how they will fund them.

Haha, Funny stuff JJ

Langhorne Creek will be fine, they will recruit a couple of players at least and even tho they lost some quality players there B grade and younger fellas will need to step up. Having such a strong B grade will ensure the Creeks remain at the peak of the league!

Just to make it perfectly clear for you Jim.. I did pull into the ground, got out of my car and sat on an aluminium bench seat adjacent to the fence which surrounds the oval on the north eastern flank.

Agree with you on that BJ, Creeks will be fine ans Simmo will pull a rabit out ov that hat and have one or two more new faces before the seaason starts. Could Kingy make a late change ov mind and be back for the creeks?

Yeah, all the usual suspects were running around for the Roosters. There was some new bloke playing on the HFF called McDonald who has played most of his footy with West Adelaide from what I hear. He didn't get much of the footy last night (not in the 1st quarter anyway) but apparently he's pretty handy.

Was the game as one sided for the rest of the match, as it was apparently for the first quarter?
