I still think Cameron Borgas is our best LONG TERM hope despite his horror run earlier in the season which resulted in him being dropped. Ferugon maybe too but he is too inconsistent and cant convert his scores into a hundred.

Agree with each point. Delmont is rated by myself because he is one of the few young players to come into the team to actually fight for his wicket. Seems the batsmen dont value their wicket high enough, but Delmont seemed to. Should never play one dayers again though, that was painful to watch....

Cam Borgas should be a very good player for us, but it depends on if he can mentally get over the horror year he has had. If he comes back playing his shots, he'll be fine. If he comes back just trying not to repeat the results of this season, and is a bit insipid with his shot selection and footwork (ie - just trying not to make a duck!!), he'll struggle. Usually, good coaching can help with this, but hey, its the Redbacks we are talking about. Hopefully we'll have three really good Borgas' soon.

Ferguson excites me and angers me. Has the potential to be a really good player, but keeps getting out when he shouldn't. Since he has come back he seems to have improved a bit, hopefully can take the next step next season. We need him to.
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

On page 118 of today's Sunday Mail under the title "Take A Guess" theres a mention of a "young sports star with an ego thats growing far bigger than his salary". Reference is made to him being a "former nice guy", but "his contract may not be renewed for next season".

Dont want to name names myself, but this sounds like this could be a certain young batsman within our ranks ;)

Will make a prediction that James Smith and Chad Sayers will both play for SA next year.

I wonder if the cousin of the 2 Borgas boys will too, although he may be a couple of years off.

True, I think that Isiah will be in the team before long. Aaron Mullins could also well go past both Dan Cullen and Cullen Bailey.

Hmmm...

Can't be Rogers - he is 30

Could be Voges - turned 28 recently
Could be (but highly doubtful considering he is captain) Marcus North - he is 28 also...

I read a story that Rogers isnt happy with his coach and is considering his future in WA !!!
It is what it is !!!

Ha Ha. Gold.

Word is he hates the fact it is the WATTO show in QLD and everytime he plays it is all about him...

SA should sign him with a clause in the fineprint that states he MUST fix that haircut.

For a short term I believe we need to get rid of the following players:
Adcock
Deitz
Rofe
And players who have been around for a while but have not developed.

So, I believe short term fix I believe SA should chase Henriques. Who is touted as one of the young allrounders going around in the country. We can offer him much more game time than NSW can. Next when I watching the U/19 World Cup Hazelwood got my attention good young quick bowler with height. This bloke should be targeted when bowls nearly 140km.

Next Season will be a young side hear is follow with the current players (Future 11):
D. Harris
J. Borgas/ T. Plant
A. Delmont
C. Borgas
M. Cosgrove- only if he gets in shape
C. Ferguson
G. Manou
M. Cleary
R. Harris
D. Cullen/ C. Bailey
S. Tait- only if fit
12th- K Skewes

thats side wouldnt even dominate grade cricket

Chad Sayers will definitely play for SA next year IMHO. I also expect Gary Putland and James Smith to get games. As stated earlier, Isaiah Borgas should be around the mark as well.
One play who should have been selected for SA is Wes Thomas. However, I am doubting that he will be now.

Luke Williams is probably also unlucky not to have played more for SA.

He perhaps could have been given a bit longer run in the side but he had a couple of chances on a couple of occassions and failed to capitilise.

A handy allrounder from the ACT. Has the makings of a good player but to talk State cricket already is putting a bit of pressure on. Hopefully will rise through the ranks and at least make District B Grade next year.

I actually had a good read in the mail last weekend. Ben Hook got stuck in a bit in the article as well. I must say for a mail article it was actually not bad. I think Scott Walsh wrote the majority of it. Basically it was a public attack at the SACA.

Anyway Ben Hook went through the SA list and rated them. It was a honest look at the team which to be honest only a few players got passing marks. Anyway just thought I would mention it if nobody had already
