It was a great night of baseball. As predicted Indians couldnt hit Pobke.
Wilkys commentating late in the night was the only downlight of a top night  .
Sorry you didnt enjoy it sas, maybe you could play bowls with stieger next season? that would be more your pace.
So Tod River won the cricket, plenty of humble pie to be eaten by people on this site who wrote them off :finga: Big weekend for a couple of Shields lads winning the baseball and cricket within 18 hours.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

SAS would have to say i agree with CU on that  although i can't believe i am  but i popped out to the baseball on friday night and had a look at the game. A grade turned out to be a bit one
sided but i thought the kids game was a good game to watch and seemed to have the crowd enthralled. Perhaps that wilkinson chap could have commentated the kids game as well  or hadn't he had enough to drink by then.

Yes Dermie. Very good talent on show in the junior game.
With the talent saints have in the junior grades maybe haloman might have to be pushed back to the b grade next season.
The dark connection of Franklin who is a star in the making and it is a must that saints keep this lad intested in baseball. The Blewitt lads can also hold thier own in senior baseball in years to come.
While Luke Jantke is a future gun player and why wouldnt he be with breeding like that. As much as it hurts to see him in a blue uniform.
Wilky was justy being Wilky behind the microphone. I got sick of him and went where I couldnt hear him, at least it wasnt to loud (I was thinking if pulling out his power cord tho on my way to the caravan.

Looking at the Sturt forum (doubleblue.org) it says that Gregory may have returned "to the bush".

I believe he was originally from Waybacks??

Gregory did well to make league football as he was no standout in the country.

Congrats to the Toddy boys on winning the flag..
Much deserved and a great effort to comeback after last years shellacking.

Apparently Mark Williams is using this for motivation for the Powers 2008 campaign.

If anyone is looking for some great entertainment I suggest you go to Channel 180 on Austar. NITV have on the 2008 Imparja Cup 8pm –11pm this week. Aborigional state cricket championships 20/20
It provided many laughs last night with SA playing NSW.
SA set a modest 132 with former Pt Lincoln resident Jeremy Johncock going cheaply aftyer starring with the bat the match before against Qld.
One SA batsmen retired due to dehydration, not once but TWICE in a 20/20 match? (I think the night before activities might have had something to do with it).
One player came out with no gloves, one player was given out for obstructing the field when he hit the ball away when running between wickets as someone was trying to run him out.
Hodgkinson is a player to watch for SA, fast opening bowler. Much in the mould of a Troy Sargeant type action. Karpinyeri bowls well also.
For NSW you couldn’t go past the form of veteran Johnny Duckett. Once he gets his eye in the game is all but over.
SA lost in the last over.
The commentary is the best part when they get the team managers to comment on the players.
The carnival is sponsored by cricket Australia.

Did anyone get to see what HS wore out on Saturday night???? Fair dinkum...... flouro pink tank-top with glow sticks around his wrists and behind his ears plus those 'Corey' sunnies..... looked more like a member of dire straights..... however it did work as he was last seen walking off into the night with 2 chicks.....
I did do my best not to allow him in but he found a way.....
