I obviously cant speak for SES & Toddys but i know we got sfa......

Problem with the bar idea would be getting someone to do it week in week out.... and dont most clubs take an esky anyway????

This would work differently for each club anyway. Lets say it was SES's turn & the show was held at the Marina, then i imagine SES would need to negotiate some sort of deal with the Marina, as we would need to do with the Northern, & Tasmans with the Pier etc. but say its Waybacks turn, where obviously it would be held at WFC i would guess that the profits (or most of them) would go to WCC.....where would Tod River hold it, the Weaty or Dorward????

You would assume WCC would be getting the money, Bluesy??? Very wrong if the WFC is cashing in on the PLCA!!!!

I think Bluey's write ups have been good all year to Grub, but todays B grade one was painful to read......A grade was good!!

Can you cut & paste the B grade one so everyone can feel the pain.... :D

Only for the GF Bystander, when there is a reasonable crowd there to make it worthwhile. Mac Doudle can only drink so many Southwark lights on his own..... :D

Not sure but would be very surprised if the wealth (???) wasn't being shared out of this function. Would assume that the WCC are running the kitchen.

There is no possible way the WCC would get any bar takings..... They might get the kitchen profit..... why would the WFC let you use the facilities and give the profits to the WCC... common sense.... I am sure however the WFC look after the WCC throughout the year with sponsorship ect.
GF Bar only..... imaging the bar takings on a normal round match????
Not allowed to post blueys write-up wcp..... have got in trouble in thwe past for releasing stuff on this site.... readers will have to buy the times....great value at $1.30 8)

There is no teas, is there?? Last year after the presentations Poole cleaned out quicker than AG on the job!! You get about an hour of solid bar takings then it's all over......not huge money to be made but if the PLCA had the bar going all day then during this period they could do ok. They need to get a bit selfish on this one as a rotation policy has no merit.

Honestly, for one hour of 'solid' bar takings, it's hardly worth talking about.

Maybe not for a footy club, but to a cricket club (only speaking for SES here) an hour's worth of solid takings with say 150 people in the place would certainly help our bank balance!!

Plus, it's a matter of principle anyway. How would Waybacks feel if after a Waybacks vs Souths footy GF at Centenary (hypothetically) that all players had to go back to Poole Oval for the presentations, the money from which went to the Tasman CC?

I second that proposal eags. but cant see souths or waybacks making the footy grand final in the next 20 years. first thing you have said that is half decent.

Maybe to you, but to a venue that has to pay wages, licences, insurances, running costs etc it isn't a big deal. No going to get too many venues cueing up to get involved if you are only giving them a hours of trade.

And for what it's worth, the venue it is being held at is the Wayback Football AND Sporting club, which incorprates cricket, netball and basketball. Therefore the show is being held at the WCC's clubrooms...am I right?????

Which is exactly why the PLCA should show some business sense and keep the money for themselves after a solid days trading. And only one crowd of people has to move venues.....Those not getting a trophy or involved in the games will probably head home after the days play!!

I must be bored, I'm with you Bluesy in not actually giving a toss...... :D

Rumours are that Wes Bilney was out at training down at Encounter Bay during the wekk, so there is still an obvious chance he could leave mallee.
Also in the Murray Bridge standard states that Ryan Morris is playing for Ramblers again. Someone said he had signed with Lincoln South...

Tim Caulfield and Simmo to have a full year in the B's for MR this year. Neither interested in playing A's, can we take bets on how many times Caulf breaks down and how many games he misses!!

I'm sure you'll pass this on to him too Sticky, give him my love..... :D :D
