hi lads, been away for a bit.
Hope all is good.
Didn't see Lofty but ball magnet has a great point, different list of best players. Lofty are genuinely looking good.
Lobie would be very worried, unaccustomed position for them, down near thew bottom.
Wolda thought Blackwood would be a force. Anyone see if Smith did anything?
Can't wait for the night game at Heathfield...look out ironbank. I reckon this could be a flogging.

Smith wasn't that bad I think the supply to him was ordinary. Lofty had them under pressure all the time. Loftys full back was great. He came off in the last quarter and I think Smith got a couple of easy goals.

Was interested to see that Lions only just managed to sneak over the line against Meadows. May have won all games so far, but two by a goal or less. Seems that competition is closing in, perhaps the coach needs to bolster the cattle in his own inviting way. Injuries are playing a part and we all know, TV hasn't the best pool of locals to call on! There must still be room in the salary cap for a few more recruits. Meadows will be around mark, but reckon Kangarilla are still dark horses to be there when whips are cracking. Notice there is a night game on at Kersbrook, are the Roosters allowed out after dark?

How about another 2 who i havent seen mentioned anywhere. Roger Wilson and Noel Hartman who played for Onkas in early to mid 90's, i think Roger won a Mail Medal in his first year in the Hills League (to go with MM he won for Tailem Bend in RMFL).

I saw James May when he played for Redlegs in RMFL, great player, up there with the top 3 country footballers i've ever seen. Was injured so often because he went in for the ball so hard, but at the same time great skills.

Well, with this type of weather, we may see some closer City Div games. Flicked thru the Courier, nothing under 50 point differences last week.
Ironbank and Bridgey will welcome the wet I'd imagine, considering who they're playing. Shame though.
