Classic LF. Witches hats provide some structure and an obvious direction of where the next kick/handball needs to go to.

Well done to all on the Goolwa committee!

Are you boys likely to put close to a full squad on the park except for Portlock?

The side will look alright. Find out more Thursday about it but obviously Hams is out, Portlock might play a half depending on how things go this week at training. Always fun to rip sh*t off of him isnt it boys!

With 30 degree + temperatures and the fact its the first trial will definitely hamper both sides abilities to finish out the match and both sides first hit outs i cant imagine its going to be the spectacle it might be mid year. Looking forward to the whole day tho and will be an experience playing before an AFL match. Maybe with no Salary Cap anymore and Willunga with a lot of points left over Pav could step into the side and come off the bench for a kick and a catch before the big game.

Geez Compass have 11 registered transfers on the net. They have someone out there who knows how to work the points system

Don't panic LF, a lot of these guys are young blokes from down the hill who have come up to have a kick with mates. Probably not quite up to A grade level yet. As for knowing the points system, I know the coach did spend quite some time with Kevin Curran ( I think thats his name, the league boss!) going over every aspect of the points system to make sure we have every aspect covered, our recruits were all rank accordingly and to make sure there are no errors made by the club, he's pretty thorough with his preperation when it comes to this sort of stuff, painfully thorough!!!! We actually had a team meeting recently regarding short term and long term plans and a lot of these young blokes that the coach has got to the club, are part of a long term plan for the club to remain competetive with this new system both now and in the future, and also we will now have some much needed depth, something the club hasn't had for a long time, possibly never! Also going back a bit you mention that we were trying to recruit McGuiness, I asked the coach about this and said that he had never spoken to him and he wasn't aware of anyone from the club that had approached him. He did comment that to use 3 point on a player from another club he would have to be in your top 5 players at least, thats no disrespect to McGuiness as I know the coach does rate him, as he was mentioned in pre match addresses everytime we played you last season.

I think McGunniess going to Compass was prior to the current coach and it was more of a push from mates that he went to school with. You've nicely played down compass' recruits. I think they now look certain to make the top 3.

Bays a genuine chance to make the finals WoW or is that simply to make FM feel better ;)

I thought Victor would be higher up on your list, presumably their talent will fall away a bit though with the loss of a few locals this year.

My brother- inlaw just phoned me to tell me Portlock has actually "clocked" the new GPS tracking device, sounds like he could be the 1 to watch for Beijing.

Added my prediction of the win/loss ratio also. Can't wait to the end of the season to see how close some of these predictions are!

Damian I am happy that you have the Saints sitting 4th with 11 wins, but that is getting a little bit carried away. Remember that we only won 2 last year. 11 wins will be a massive turn around.

Just to make FM feel better. They will struggle with no ruckman. Victor without Harris and the local lads will struggle. I have heard Kym White is training.

I would hate to be Willunga playing on Saturday latest forcast is 38 with a 10 knot Nth wind = DISCUSTING WEATHER FOR FOOTBALL!! The Willunga lads will be 5kg lighter after the game and every other player in the GSFL will be 5kg heavier after sitting in air con drinking coronas!
