Mate Houghton's ruckman dominated Div 6 until James Hann at Hope Valley hit him behind play and ended his career!!!!
Well thats what some Hope Valley people have been going around saying!

What does that have to do with Staunton?

But in some respects you are right. Yes, Hann did give Jiggy a gutsy king hit from behind. Jiggy had a bit of concussion and went to the hospital to get it checked out. Had a seizure or two while he was there and has since been advised not to play.

Probably could wear a helmet, only it wouldn't fit over his curly mop

Top bloke is Jiggy, shame to have your talents cut short like that. The rest of the lads haven't forgotten about it either.

I played in both games last year and don't remember anything like that happening. Jiggy is as you said a very good ruckman but no one at Hope Valley would intentionally take him out and brag about it. I haven't heard anyone at Hope valley mention anything about this until you guys brought it up.

Nice troll there mate, but you baited your hook a bit heavy there. Simple reason is alot of people know James Hann and have seen him play and know that he would do crap like that. Anyway I think your attempt at a troll might be caught out here.

Would or Wouldn't do crap like that???

I didn't see the incident so I can't say if it was intentional or not but I did hear that a couple of the hope valley players were pretty happy about it.. Not sure if true or not but heard that a couple of players were over heard bragging about it by someone going to pick up jiggy's car later in the night.

If this happened in the second game that we played then I'm preety sure that it wouldn't of been intentional as we beat Houghton by heaps so there would have been no need to take out their gun ruckman. Especially a couple of weeks before finals. The 2 clubs may have a bit of a rivalry but I'm sure neither club would resort to sniping tactics especially when alot of the players know each other.

I doubt it very much

It doesn't really matter what grade or how much he trained last year at Para Hills. AJ has fit in really well at the club and has been training very well. I'm sure he will do very well this year and we are very happy to have him.

You must have missed the double page spread we had in the Advertiser...

I was front and centre to the contest in which the incident happened. I never heard any of the Valley lads talking about it though.

Well thats fair enough. All we are saying is that this is the 1st that we have heard of the incident so it's obviously not common knowledge amongst us Hope Valley guys. I know we wouldnt be happy about him being seriously injured either. Jiggy is a really good player and seems like a good bloke. Hopefully he suits up for you guys this year at some stage!

From what i know of Jimmy he certainly does not seem like the type of guy that would do something like this intentionally, let alone brag about it. Unfortunatly sometimes these things happen in football. This is the first i have heard about this and would be very dissapointed if anyone from our club would brag about ending someones career.

Sorry I shouldn't have said "players" in my original post as don't really know who said asomething just that something was overheard.. I wouldn't have thought it would have been a player maybe just a spectator, it was later in the night so might have been someone talking crap after a few too many.. And I know Jimmy Hahn and know he wouldn't have done it intentionally that wasn't what i was trying to say or that you blokes did anything dirty just that it was dissapointing to hear someone talking it up after the game..

Jiggy's won't be playing this year, as well as the fact the doctor said he shouldn't play anymore he's heading overseas.

I'm sure most of us have wrapped a bloke around the ears in a marking contest once before and, although Hann is no beanpole, it's usually due to a bit of a 'brain-fade' and probably a fairly innocuous thing most occasions. There was probably other underlying factors contributing to the sequence of events that took place after the incident.

Heard a whisper today that Bryant might be staying with West Croydon. Any truth in that Hawkeye?

Spoke to AJ tonight and he said he went to most trainings, but is was hard to crack into a side that wasn't losing many games and he was still "the new bloke" out there...

Ask Jiggy what happened just before this alleged "incident" with Jimmy...

...I reckon one of our blokes had a pretty sore head himself
