then in no particular order:

Yes Minister/Prime Minister
Cheers
Get Smart
Kingswood Country
Men Behaving Badly
Mash
Ab Fab
Young Ones
Blackadder
Mr Bean
Red Dwarf
Dave Allen - not sure if that counts as a series though
Porridge
Open All Hours
Dad's Army
It Aint Half Hot Mum
Acropolis Now
Fawlty Towers
Friends
The Goodies
The Drew Carey Show
Frasier

As you can tell, I love comedy series-es (?). I can't stand drama series, they bore me to tears.

The Royal Family
One Foot in the Grave

A new one over here Jam and Jerusalem with Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.

Speaking of French and Saunders, what about The Comic Strip Presents. A series that gave us Adrian Edmundson, Dawn French, Jennifier Saunders, Rik Mayall, Peter Richardson

Who went on to make clasics like
French & Saunders
Ab Fab
Vicar of Dibley
The Young Ones
Bottom
The New Statesman

Another fav at the time was Ripping Yarns (Frogs across the Andes ),oh, oh, and Butterflies

Who remembers a late '70s, early '80s British sitcom called 'Cowboys'?
It was about a totally useless home building firm who eff upped everything they did.
The only guy that I can recall was the Irish, one armed, elderley chap who was in 'Man About the House'.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

A couple I forgot that I haven't seen for many years:
MASH
Happy Days

They were shown that many times on TV that I've hardly forgotten anything about them. Must say that shouldn't detract from what great shows they were.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
