Will be funny if one day he's selected by the same team as Ryder and they have to bat together

He's not the sharpest tool in the rack is he???

Your right Mark, it isn't about how much you weigh, but when your mass stops you from making runs and batting to your full potential well than you have a problem.

If you had made over triple your runs - which you should have I couldn't care how much you weighed, however because your aren't making any runs, your just a slob.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Hes right its not hard. When he lost some weight after he was first dropped for being too big, he came back and made runs when he was working hard. He made plenty of runs if I remember correctly. Now hes fat again and not making runs. Think about it. Your fitness may have something to do with your form.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

The guy is an idiot. He had a whinge that his weight shouldn't be a factor in whether he should be in the team or not, he should be selected on runs scored. The fact is, he isn't even making runs.

He will never get himself fit, he's been told far too many times but the guy is just a lazy slob.

Well, SA proved that they are worse off without Cossie and Herb. Cossie would have been fine if people had not started getting into him - it was his mental state rather than his weight.

If it was his mental state then clearly he shouldn't be in the team.

I will admit that his weight had a bit to do with it, but, boy, are we ever quick to knock our representatives in this State. How about supporting the boys rather than always knocking them?

Cossies form dropped dramatically after he was hit in the elbow area in a o/d game v NSW
Fast bowler Cameron hit him and caused Cossie to miss the 4 day game.
From about that point his form slipped dramatically.

I will agree on defending Cossie on one point
When he was making runs being overweight was not an issue
When he was failing being overweight has become a contentious issue

Where I cant defend him is that at his age he should not be the way he is
Potentially he is a half a season of good form away from a National call up.

He should knuckle down, get slimmer, fitter and get runs
OR
play grade cricket eat drink and be like most other young men his age.

Seriously, how were the performances of SA better with Elliott and Cosgrove in the side? They were crap then and they are crap now. At least the cost of lunch has been halved.

We at least had Herb topscoring (out of the recognised batsmen) in 6 of the 8 first innings in matches he played.

Fair enough but Cossie eating all the plumb chicken before anyone else had a chance wouldn't have done much for team morale.
