Not a good thing for cricket IMO.

Terrible for cricket. We are getting a game increasingly full of all these blokes who average 48 - 60 against 3-4 really terrible countries and average 30-40 against the few countries who can actually play.
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

Another message could be declaring overnight and bowling them out twice in the one day, having a two day Test Match. That'd be rather
SAS's goal tally- 0
WCP's goal tally- 0

Well when Marsh & Taylor batted all day it was v England. Should we exclude that one from the averages because England fielded a terrible bowling line-up that day? Or is it OK because its England?

Who are we to judge to what extent its poor bowling and to what extent great batting? If its partly the latter should we be minimizing what Smith & co achieved? Last test the Bangers were looking like winning at some stages.

If we never showed patience with new teams it would still be Aust v England  This has been happening all through cricket history

Example: 1931-32 Australia v South Africa:Aust 5-0: 3 wins by over an innings, one by 10 wickets, other by 200+ runs. Bradman made 299 not out, 167, 112, 226 ... didn't play 5th test. Should we go back and re-write the stats as South Africa looked like they weren't competitive ... bye bye 4 of Bradman's 29 centuries

Also look up 1947-48 Australia v India ... another 4 centuries to Bradman .... 3 tests won by an innings. Get rid of those stats too?

Only modern cricket where averages inflated by playing weaker teams? Don't think so ...

Be patient, the Bangers won't improve by playing Dubai and Canada
In between signatures .....

Agree with you Hondo, but South Africa are really getting to me now..they are 5/565 and scoring in the last hour at less than two runs an over, why would you do this? They are facing bowlers who have test averages of over 41 on what you would think is a batting pitch
