In the modern game, how can you get an eleven ball duck (m clarke)?
In fact, that'd be one of the longest innings in recent time without scoring a run, wouldn't it?
SAS's goal tally- 0
WCP's goal tally- 0

Probably wont hurt the Aussies to get a kick up the backside like this before the finals against India.

I'm a cynic. The Aussie team has a pattern of sudden lapses of form in minor games before important matches, and this tends to create uncertainty about who will win, and acts to increase the gate and the TV interest and therefore adverrtising revenue.

Are the sporting media just more in advance of the marketing in Cricket than they are in the AFL yet??

You dont think a conspiracy such as this would possibly get leaked...if they were "tanking" i dont think they'd make it as obvious as they did tonight as well.

maybe the players relax a bit knowing that it is a nothing game how many times has Aust gone into the final match of a test series undefeated only to loose the final game to miss out on a clean sweep.

OK, so where is their maturity. Surely this is an adolescent pattern adults with half a brain could do something about.

The Aussies used to go into the last match of a series undefeated and lose it but that doesn't happen anymore.
