In AFL Brenton Lade or David Neitz...in PL (other than DB who would hold his own against anyone) would say Dalton in his prime. Can remember a goal against the breeze at Ravendale against LS in 2003. Left footer, wrong pocket wet ball deep in the pocket after OB from FB kickout. 65m like a bullett..nails on the mark just shook his head...

Ruley in the '04 GF was a pretty accurate kick... :( . Don't remember him missing many that day. #-o

Although he's not hugely renowned as a goal kicker I haven't seen Brad Ottens miss too many goals at the top level.

Howdy Bridy...hows the weather?

I suppose when we are talking straight kicks, it is hard not to mention Cove07. That goal from the booze van in 2003 during the 100 year game against TFC is legendary. They even produced a limited edition print celebrating the event.

******* cold...but plenty of Guinness... :drinkers:

Limited edition is exactly right...one made...none sold...it's still sitting on Boags' pinboard in his kitchen...faded and hanging by a single corner...except now a child has scribbled all over it...oh no hang on...that was Covey's handwriting...

WCP made the most of his limited oportunities in front of the sticks.....

I'd put my life on Anthony Richter and Phil Cummings lining up for goal from anywhere inside 50....

Just brainstorming Panther.
And I'd reckon we have all probably kicked a remarkable goal or two in our careers so was not talking about a particular goal, more about a career of goals and in particular accuracy and reliability, a person you could bank on to kick a goal in any situation.

Tyler Franklin signed for Tasmans. Know nothing about the lad but according to Yoey Wagner he goes very well. Fairly ironic that after discussing Johan on here yesterday I meet him for the first time later that evening!!

How many bloody Franklins are there?

Seems the only really accurate mail I'm getting lately is all the people telling me your a wanker.....

Back onto cricket, love the Lost & Found section of the Pl Times today.

Lost one wooden spoon by the Rovers CC, if found please return to any Rovers Cricketer.
They have won 3 or 4 flags in a row I think and finish 4th ( bottom ) and someone at one of the other clubs couldn't wait to have a crack!! Geez the rivarly up there is full on.

Wots your thoughts Mighty Bomber???

Hey HS, just curious about your last post, are you referring to Franklin or Wagner or both??

Not sure if I heard right, but I think Dyl said in Adelaide that Rovers have never won the wooden spoon before???
