Just hope they've put on some sort of fitness regime - cough cough

Good to see that a mountain of runs in grade cricket means Jake Brown get's his chance to make his debut against Queensland.

doubt it, how many wake up calls does he need, IMHO his first class career at least in this State is all but over unfortunately, so much talent but so little discipline

I agree that he could be lighter but its the first class bowlers in this country that have worked him out and bowl specific areas to dismiss him. A recently retired SA bowler also has this veiw.
A classic Example earlier this year NSW bowler Mark Cameron targeted the rising ball aimed at his ribcage in a FR game. Cossie took one on the elbow and missed the next Cup game.

The wake up call he needs? What?
"Hi Mark, its Rod Marsh here, you've been told to leave the preseason training camp for the manner in which you presented yourself"
"Hi Mark, its Tim Neilsen here, you've been sent home from the Centre of Excellence because you're a slob"
How many more does he need Rod?

"Hi mark, its <insert name of selector with some balls!!!> here, your over weight, not making runs and not getting the point. You will not play for Aust, SA or even a SA X1 until you loose weight, make runs and change your attitude. By the way, your booked into fat camp, same one S.Dew went to"
Maybe something like that.
