Im not a real big fan of 20/20 cricket, but with those line-ups, who wouldn't watch?
Also very interesting that some of the biggest names of cricket playing in the same teams.
I can't wait for the competition too start!

I'm jumping on the Hydrabad bandwagon, that batting lineup could obliterate most attacks, bit light on in the bowling but the first 5 batters all have very high strike rates.

Just a money grab thats all it is, watch their other performances now go on a high decline, like they will really worry about performing when there is so much money to be made for so much less work

This is the best of the best.

The starting point of cricket of the future.

What a wonderful enterprise.

I very much doupt it will ever get to Free to air.

Us average cricket lovers will only read about it in the papers.

Small coverage like SANFL in Adelaide.

India deserves respect for this.

Heard on the radio that India produces 75% of the money produced by cricket world wide.
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

What is happening to our SANFL guys...

Got to hope they (Gibbs) hold their catches when they come their way
will be interesting to see if Gilly / Symonds give a bit to Gibbs over his fielding...

There is a lot of money being thrown around... and it's only 20/20 but I will be interested in watching this to see what it's like. The best players in the world battling each other.. should be entertaining. Not pure cricket I know but should be a bit of fun.

As for Symonds not going to Pakistan purely for the financial reward, would you go there? I wouldn't that's for sure. The place is a mess at the moment, cricketers haven't been attacked in the past in places like Pakistan and Sri Lanka but still, why put your life in danger for a game of cricket? I would rather go to India for coin than a place like Pakistan right now.

It's easy to sit back and saying he's doing it for greed but why don't you take a holiday and head over to Pakistan now? **** that.

No, the best is the Test, which is why it is so named.

Dog_ger wrote:The starting point of cricket of the future.

No, the end of the game of Cricket where the bank balance is more important than the non existent contest between bat and ball in meaningless 20/20 matches.

Dog_ger wrote:What a wonderful enterprise.

What a crock of 5hit.

Nothing about this 'competition' is free. Might as well follow Wrestling.

Dog_ger wrote:

Bollocks. It will be hyped into a hit even though this format clearly isn't intended to the average cricket fan who does have a larger attention span than a blowfly, unlike the shallow Bollywood set.

Dog_ger wrote:India deserves respect for this.

Bull5hit. Money is like 5hit, spread it around and it does a lot of good but pile it up in one place and it stinks like hell.

RIP Cricket. Sold to India three hours at a time.
