i dont think money was baylis motivator. i reckon he wants to play in a flag and his best chance is obviously with jervois! he is getting old now aswell. also rates himself prettty highly as a spider everitt look alike!

I think his best chance would be Willunga or Morphetvale!

Luvayarn you need to keep up and learn when and when not to post (it took me a while). JB and Bassani are actually very close, they were before Enc Bay and still are and both appear on this forum, there's nothing wrong with a bit of stick.

As far as recruiting Wes I think you need to learn the connection between the Bays coach and him before posting your assumptions.
Do you think your comment on whether we are all nice guys or not carreis any weight at all?
Please! Everyone knows we are great guys at the Bay; some of the nicest around! Although I have a new found soft spot for some of the Willinuga boys...

TC and Damian are you sharing the same brain matter?
The 07 recruitment at the Bay has been done to death but for your beligned benefit.

1) The players recruited in 07 were in fact ALL known personally by the Bays Coach
2) The Bays lost as many as they gained in 07
3) The Bays lost the largest number of high calibre players in the league in one season than anyone else.

Please tell me what the club was supposed to do facing 07?
Further proof to the fact we had to cover for losses can be clearly seen by the lack of recruitment we have done this year. The only three players actively recruited are ALL have direct ties to either the coach or a member of the playing group.

Hills I think by now we also know that you have your capabilities and your aspirations confused.

Quite honestly I sincerely hope you boys dont play a major part in September, there is something to be said for front runners and you are painting a very poor picture of the Jervois FC.

Playing in a second rate country comp to that of the GSFL may bring some glory but where's the challenge in it? Come down to the GSFL and challenge yourself.

The Bays may have had a rough trott 07 and will be against some stiff competition 08 but we love the challenge.

So you payed players to make up numbers? Wouldn't the talented locals have done a better job, we know you have them..

I think this topic is a little old. The Bays lost there best 5-6 players last season along with a lot of others so they had no choice but to turn over there whole playing list. The guys recruited were never going to fill the hole left by Rolfe, Mclean, Smart, Hough and Modra. (there was another one in there but i cant think of him). But they needed to bring in guys, the locals that were good enough will play A grade no matter what!

This was the argument against the points system, if this sort of mass exodues happens again at a club good luck replacing it and staying competitive. If it wasnt for the active recruiting FM and the rest of the bay staff did they wouldnt have been competitive at all! They would have been left with there B grade and half of the A grade side.

I hope most of these players stayed on at the Bay, then they can recruit in areas of weakness and keep rising. Thats the plan im sure!

The correct word is 'paid' players.
You'd be very happy to know that everyone gets paid something at the Bays, further more with a senior squad gutted in 07 averaging 90% of under 23's I'm sure they relished the extra help. We needed numbers regardless, I think you'll see we will be around the mark this year with few recruits which in turn says something for last years plan.
Hey and we didnt finish in the bottom three as predicted.

Money talks champ. I think thats the part in which he found it easier to take more money and drop back a couple of steps to a lower standard in order to play in a GF.
Trust me your not painting a very good picture at all, if I didnt know a couple of blokes tied up with you this year I'd honestly think you were all a bunch of front runners.
