RUDI MUST GO

Postby Tiger Couple » Mon Feb 11, 2008 1:38 am

If Steve Bucknor was sent home after one Test surely Rudi Koertzen must be on the next plane back to South Africa.

After his shocker in the Sri Lanka v India game with the caught behind off Murali that the young Indian didn't get close to.

Then Gilchrist today was the worst decision I have seen. Massive inside edge on a ball that was moving away from outside off that he smashed into his pad and it moved so far that it would have missed leg would have to be the worst decision of the summer.

In a lot of ways I don't think the Umpires are totally at fault. I think the ICC needs to expand it Main Group of Umpires to give them more of a rest and time at home.

You forgot to include the Tendulkar caught behind that he failed to give. He must be deaf because the sound was deafening.

I dont think it was this clear. I actually thought it was a very hard one to call.

The Clark and Gilly mistakes were ordinary (One was made by the best umpire in the world) but i did not think the Sachin one was so clear cut.

What a load of crap. It was not clear at all, maybe the 'noise' was clear after viewing Snicko...

I didn't think Tendulkar hit it. In slo mo, the nick looked like it was not as clear as normal snicks captured on snicko. I heard a noise but wasn't sure if it was his foot dragging or something else. ie, I would've given it not out too.

I thought Sehwag was unlucky too. To the naked eye I thought it hit him above the knee roll. Again, that's one I would've given not out.

But Gilly's........ahh, sorry I would've fired him too. Must get those eyes of mine checked.

yeah, too be fair, hes been a great umpire over the years, but he is getting too old and i think we need to bring in some younger umpires.

You are an idiot. I was up before Gilly caught it. Look at Gilly's reaction, pretty clear that there was an edge.

Aussies should just threaten to pull out of the rest of the series and hold the ICC to ransom... hang on no team would ever be able to get away with that...

as u have all stated some ordinary decisions here but as the great man steve waugh used to say you take the good with the bad some days you get a bad one but over you career you end up pretty even just accept the decision and move on ..to get rid of this just stop showing the countless replays over and over as it just makes it look worse and worse ...cant imagine there would have been this sort of bitching 10 years ago before sniko .superslow mo and the hot spot sure this is good for the viewer but does nothing 4 the game itself :? :?

Reading today that Taufel may be quitting at the end of March and he also may be heading to India.
