1200m Flying on Cup Day will be her next mission. Hopefully Boy John nominates so we can keep weight down. Will restrict her to the shorter stuff this prep.
Had toyed with idea of stepping her up to 1750 with the view of maybe a Cup run, but she would carry 60 kgs in Sundays handicap...too hard.

Boy John carried 61.5kgs and won against a pretyy handy sprint field last start. Would expect him to get at least 63 kgs. KR should be on the min, and would give him something to catch.
In Dec 2001 Manetti won over 1000m carrying 63 kgs. Ran 57.9...That is a modern day weight carrying record...so BJ has a chance to equal history....Manetti carried 65 and ran second to Ryko over 1200m later in the season.

I've been 'guaranteed' a berth in the B's (which I had to plead for), but that doesn't mean much.

Go to the head of the class sas.. :) . we'll still be a few short, Ash & myself to come back, Strudy is playing a game or 2 for Pt Adelaide, so not back for a week or 2 yet, i reckon i'll be playing in the A's... first game on the turf for me this season, & looking forward to it..

Once again, my standard response to your verbal diarrhoea: :finga: :finga:
I wouldn't captain a cricket side for anything. Too much hard work.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Have any of the EP posters heard anything with regard to the Ports FC in the EEFL and their adventurous recruiting campaign for their 100th anniversary. Have any players been recruited from Lincoln club's, Clements is one I have heard.

There is a strong rumour that they are planning for their most decorated player to make some cameo appearances this year. No not Chris Prime but Sean Rehn.
I'm reading a book about anti-gravity. I can't put it down.

It is believed that Prime won't head back to the EEFL beacuse of a particular offical in that league.

Also it is to be the last year of Ports too. Closing up shop after the season is my mail.

That would be sad as both teams combined in the 90's didnt they, If a combined side cant survive it just goes to show the state of football on EP. This EP netball and football comitee they are forming will not work.
It will not be long before a few GFFL sides put up the white flag either

football clubs in general are finding it harder and harder. players cant afford to be injured or be unable to work efficiently.. and to offer players a huge income insurance is not possible.. well without pokies. yeah there are clubs in GFFL hanging on by threads , but so are teams in linc... ie mallees. back to back bad farming years hurts GFFL. a good year or 2 makes a whole lot of difference.. but it is a ticking bomb...

Great Flinders will not consider any talks with the PLFL until we fix the mallee park problem
