I have been told Angle Vale to join amatuer league. I would presume that they would start in Div 7?

Theres going to be more clubs joining and others folding.I'm waiting for a Mawson Lakes team to come up aswell. Afterall they have an oval ready to go and because it's in a developing area they would receive a fair bit of government funding

Also have been told Angle Vale are coming into Div 7. Possible 12 teams in D7 this year. SHOC and Flinders Uni also coming in.

Hows that going to work?? Surely no more than 10 teams will go in and the A and B grade sides will get priority with the C and D grade sides scattered through c1-c6

uni's c and d grade are in div 7 as are henley.
shoc obviously believe that they can cope (after all their c2 side only lost 1 game for the year in 07). apparently shoc are thinking of having 5 sides in 08.
flinders uni were a huge cut above their c5 competition and if they can organise a b grade, a grade sides, i believe, should be in div 7.
i would imagine that, if a 12 team comp, that the extra 7 games will be randomly drawn as has happened in the dim dark past. this may lead to some blowouts but seems to be the only fair way.
personally, i'd rather play in a 12 team comp than a six or seven side comp.

There would be too many complaints though on who gets the best draw and so on.Be very irresponsible imo and would only generate complaints and problems

What! The amateur league is the only league I know where teams play eachother an even number of times. If someone complained about a random draw I'd tell them to get stuffed.

But my argument is that it can be avoided. In other leagues it can't.In most leagues where this occurs teams play each other at least twice. The only league where you don't play each team at least twice is the SFL and it causes sh*t loads of issues.

Also the SAAFL is arguably the fairest competition in SA and is the envy of all other senior leagues. Your looking at it with blinkers on.

at a guess, if div 7 ended up with more than 10 teams i'd wager that the saafl would have the esxisting clubs from 07 plus the relegated clubs play each other twice as they certainly can't operate on the bottom/top division that other leagues do.
it's always been a problem with this end of saafl footer - see the north/south leagues that the saafl tried.
i'm sure div 7 will still be close whoever is in it.

Not if I eat it first!!

As much as I hate to say it, a lot of Wingfields success next year may depend on one K.Klomp.. he's like the bloody pied piper of football clubs.

Klompy may well b the pied piper, but where he and his crew go they always seem to win a flag, the prick has won a few so may pay to follow him.heard klompy and his crew have join up with chris newmans boys and r all going back to ovingham, sounds like they will go ok this year

I'd assume a mass exodus of Wingfield B graders to Kaurna then?
Wonder what Kym Klomp is going to do.

Wingfields B grade premiership coach from last year is coaching at ovingham this year.Heard klompy and most of the b"s have gone along aswell, as have half the wingfield A grade from 07.

LK i think you would find that if Kaurna Eagle don't have a team this year and any other clubs r looking to relocate there they would need to hire the ground from the Sth Aust Aboriginal Sports & Recreation Association because that organisation has a 5yr lease on that oval.

I am not sure if Mawson Lakes could substain a team?? Surround by Para Hills, Ingle Farm & Pooraka, They would need to build a Junior teams first IMO.

Every club has that problem though,I can think 5 clubs within a 4 km radius of kenilworth in Marion,Mitchell park,Flinders Uni,CLG and Edwardstown. I do agree though that they would need to start with juniors and build up.
