Like i said no-one will know until the first round.

How many league games this bloke played?
Why can't he just sign and play for one club in 2008?
NO-MERCY your post earlier about getting a sign on fee, sounds like your on the money.
He "Cox" is on the money alright, he may have pocketed $20.000 from his signatures at all these clubs.

That was a very early post f-box, he hasn't played many league games at all, mainly reserves & i can't understand for the life of me why he'd agree to play or sign with so many clubs unless he's got a bet with someone as to how many clubs can gain their signatures.
He may well have $20k from sign ons.
One things for sure, we havn't heard the last of it, theirs still 8 or so weeks to go until the first game, so theirs still a chance for other clubs to gain his signature.
Who he ends up playing for is still a mystery!

Spoke to an A grade player today who reckons the A grade is looking alright but they're struggling to fill a B grade side. Can't be good if a Div 1 side is struggling to fill a B grade side no matter how successful they've been. Expect Broadies A grade to place in the top 5, don't expect their B grade to win too many games (again)...

Having a weak B grade will always affect the As performance though. Inevitabley people stuck in the Bs will get shitty, stop playing and training well. This attitude can filter through the club and leave the A graders without pressure for their spots and poor players playing As when injuries occur.

I remember last year a few weeks before the start of the season Broadie's advertised in the paper saying they were 'desperate' for A graders. I know a player who went there because of that. He is not there this year though. There B's have been crap for a while now but it never seems to affect the A's much because they always go alright.

Every year there is this same talk about Broadies struggling because they are advertising for players and have a weak B grade, yet they always seem to make the finals somehow. I don't like Broadview but you have to give credit where credit is due and they deserve it because obviously they are doing something right with the players to keep them motivated to play even though they won't lose their spot!
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

Speaking of Broadies noticed two lads have let to go to the GSFL in B Sheridan and J Darling, any info on these blokes and are they going to be missed by Broadies?

Sheridan and Darling are decent players, Darling is moving down there due to work. Sheridan, who knows. Just another example of blokes playing in the Under 23 side and leaving the Amatuer League the next year. Wake up Head Honchos at Amatuer League House, it doesn't work!!!

Just continuing my point, i also hear that Cutting and Jordan are leaving amatuer league. No incentive when you get older than 23 to stick around. Really gets my blood boiling this issue, open age state team, if you are good enought to make it, you will. Doesn't matter how old you are, 16 or 35. I know the other states have different views but surely Vic would be up for a game again.

After speaking personally with Jordan and Cutting they are both committed and staying on with the Hawks in 08.
Sheridan and Cutting are what types of footballers? Onballers?

I do know young Coxy and he was signed and sealed at a few clubs in the country (had agreed to terms) however he got cold feet at the last minute due to having a new born and that impacted on his ability to travel. On top of this he has just bought a house (as mentioned) and needs any extra money he can get for these two reasons alone.
Nth Haven are providing him with some very good money, enough for him to not worry about travelling to make similar amounts - however it begs the question still, he wouldnt have had to travel to play div 1.

For his sake I hope he lifts the team around him rather than what we always see in the team bringing him back to the field.

Yes we have lost both Sheridan and Darling. Numbers are down a bit at the moment but last year started like this and we improved as the season went on. Our reputation as a good football club will always survive and ultimately people come to play here because they know it is a great club.

Dont know why everyone is so interested in Cox's movements. He might have played half a dozen league games and was a solid reserves grade footballer. Nothing more.

Surely there are bigger things happening in Div 1 in 2008!
