Its Game on this week. After being 5/30, i thought i was going to get a bat pretty early against Adelaide Lutheran. We had a great partnership for the 6th wicket and after some good lower order runs we finished on 8/218. I didn't bat :( Should be a good match this week. Hopefully i can get the key wicket of Ecky :D

Obviously all the wickets fell whilst Punk held up an end and then he went beserk and plastered the ball all around the park  218 I think the Lutherans may well struggle to get that score

Fitzroy's first win if the season! :D :D :D

Fitzroy unleashed a new spin bowler on Saturday.
Whilst he went wicketless, he was treated with a great deal of respect by the opposition.
He was turning the ball 6 inches....
Locky, can you guess the identity of this mystery bowler?

Here is the link to the scorecard of the game:

http://scores.saca.com.au/public/?redirect_to=scorecard_page&game_id=3591

Punky is lucky to be alive after I hit a couple cracking pull shots just millimetres from his head while he was fielding at silly mid on. Unfortunately I got out the over before he came on to bowl, so I missed the chance to inflict some pain on his bowling figures.

PS I made 20 times as many runs as he did but we both took the same number of wickets.

notice how after you hit the 1st one, I came in a step closer?
Ecky will confirm my 6" prowess (turning the ball), although he won't be able to say the same about the 6"es I produced later on that night...

Well that did a lot of good didn't it, as the next ball was dispatched to the boundary as well! If you had stepped back you should have been able to stop it easily!

7/218 and they only used 9 bowlers? What happens when things go rough?

Basically, we like to give everyone a bowl, even if it may not be in the best interests of a team, as we want to keep our players interested and involved - it is hard enough getting a team together each week as it is. Giving a "hack" one or two overs out of an innings of over 50 overs shouldn't make that much difference anyway.

Where do I sign Ecky after over 20 years cricket with Enfield and around 80 overs ( first 3 years was opening the bowling occasionally) that was it, last 10 years I played I bowled 2 overs I reckon, a hack like me though for 2 overs would probably cost you 72 thats if I dont bowl a no ball or 4 :D

Has been a fair bit of bragging around the football club after our (seaton) B grade played against Fitzroy C's ( i think).

Keep in mind this oval fits inside a match box, but still a fair effort

feel sorry for the poor bugga who only got 1 over
