('specially 1980 Kiss and 1986 midnight oil and Jet Last year) great atmosphere in the open air...
KISS played at Adelaide Oval in 1980, not Memorial Drive

A couple of hours standing by the speakers.................a couple of days without hearing (they were great shows though)Felch wrote:woodwt wrote:Bring back the bridgeway!
Bridgeway was always a great place, fantastic atmosphere.
One of the best shows i saw there was Barnesy in the early 90's, when he still knew how to put on a show, ie drink a whole bottle of vodka and scream his lungs out !!!

That would have been the 94 show where Urge Overkill supported them. A mate went and said the sound was shirthouse. The promoters said they'd have the sound problem sorted out for the BDO which was a few weeks later......they didn't.

For the ancient & decrepit Lark & Tinas in Hindley St. Stumbled in there very pissy one night, paid the $4 or something like that to get in & was delighted to see The Saints start up their first set.
Now I see that some of these reformed bands charging $100 for a show at the Thebby, sad.
