Honeymoon locations

Postby Kaiser Chief » Mon Feb 04, 2008 6:56 pm

Where did you guys go for your honeymoons?
We're thinking somewhere overseas, in the Fiji, Malaysia, Cook Islands kinda areas.

Any recommendations?

Cook Islands - Tropical location, lagoons to swim in and not expensive at all. NZ Currency, NZ locals, so everyone speaks English. By far and away the best place I've ever been.

First time Riverland and on to Canberra. Second time we both went straight back to work after a lunchtime ceremony at the Registry Office - we had a business to run.

We went to Perth for two weeks. Fantastic - I'd live there if it wasn't so far away!

Best part of the honeymoon was the wine cruise on the Swan River. Woo hoo - that boat was rockin'. Captain Stubins would have loved it!

I haven't been for any more than a day or so passing through to the part of the world you've nominated for your choice, but Christchurch is a fantastic city if you're thinking NZ. Surrounding areas are great for touring / travelling, food great, wine great etc

Would have thought you would be seeing plenty, it's just that you'll be seeing it regardless of where you go.
