More fckng snow and a wind chill of -9

Thank god the Six Nations starts today...no reason to go outside. Bet most of those rescued overnight assumed a severe weather warning and police instructions not to travel didn't apply to them...might be funny if they weren't putting the rescue teams lives at risk...morons.

Come on Jas, that a bit unkind. You know how quick the weather can change and just catch you out.
I set off for work 8:00am Saturday, there was just a light dusting of snow and within 5 or 10 mins of setting offthe bloody heavens opened and dropped about 3 or 4 inches. Nearly got trapped and had to roll the car backwards back down the hill. It took me 25 mins of bambi on ice just to do 2 miles or so.

Went down into Clitheroe at about 4:00pm (the opposite direction) and the town was completely clear. No sign of snow anywhere. The difference from 6 inches of snow to no snow at all was less than 8 miles.

I was thinking more of the ones that went trundling off along the TransPennine A66 when warnings had been in force for almost a week inadvance. Although next time you do bambi impressions could you get Mrs Claret to take some photo's

I meant the car Jas. Low profile tyres and rear wheel drive. Great road holding but carp in the snow.
