I believe you will find that the Australian team state that this Test Series has been fought out in great spirit by both sides. They, and Cricket Australia, have no qualms with the Indian team. Unfortunately it is a media beatup that has got many of you feeling the way you are, IMHO. Additionally, look further at the facts re the Harbajhan case. For instance, it all started through Roy abusing Harbajhan. Then in the appeal, Michael Clarke changed his story from Harbajhan said 'something that sounded like monkey' to Harbajhan said 'monkey'. Yet, all the blame is laid at the Indian team? Interesting!
Additionally, a lot of comments here are getting stuck into the BCCI for trying to 'run' cricket. Do we have short memories?? What happened in Australia thirty years ago? Did not an Australian Kerry Packer, boycott cricket and try to get it privatised? Now the money is out of Australian hands and it is in Indian hands, we are crying foul??? Now another country wants to have some say as to what happens, we are angry??
Additionally, if you are so against the Indian team for Harbajhan 'getting off lightly' is it not the Australian team you should be getting stuck into? After all, they were the ones who downgraded the charge from racial vilification to abusive language. The ICC had no choice after that. There was no case of racial vilification to be answered. As for abusive language, the Australians are the masters at that, and have been for many, many years. Are we not calling the kettle black if we attack another country for doing what we have been doing for so long?
Cheers
