Am I the only one who is over the Simpsons?

Postby Rik E Boy » Wed Jan 30, 2008 4:37 pm

I was watching the Simpsons the other day and a large yawn ensued. I used to love watching the Simpsons but lately I have been flicking past it during my normal afternoon Channel surfing. Although I really enjoyed watching the season one episodes the other day all that seemed to do was illustrate how far the show had fallen.

I gotta know...Am I the only one who is over the Simpsons? This question is not directed at the haters btw, but the fellow fans who might be starting to drop off like me.

My kids love it, but unlike me they haven't had over 10 years of watching it...

I will now only watch it when the kids have it on and I'm in the room...

But having said that have watched the Simpsons movie about 6 times (kids  )
and still get a laugh or two...

I stopped watching about 6 months ago, the constant repeats have killed it (IMO).

If smac jr is watching and a good ep is on I will sit down with him to watch, however those occasions are becoming more rare as time goes on.

I still love it.
Even saw an episode I hadn't watched before last night.
The one where Homer, Lenny and Carl become security guards and end up taking over from the local police force.

Watched it while cooking tea, loved the ending particularly.

The best one i've seen i reckon would be the one where homer befriends the crows or where he gets prescription marijuana, or are they the same one???

Not sick of it, just don't watch it as often.

I dropped off a few years ago when Homer became a parody of himself and every episode started featuring the whole cast (how many lynch mobs can a show have??), became too comtemporary and featured way too many lame guest stars.

Any one want to buy a cupboard full of action figures?

Nup, still can't get enough.
Especially since Frasier & Seinfeld wound up.

Still going strong for me and always will I think. Sure the new ones aren't as good as seasons 1-6 in particular, butit's still a brilliant show IMO.

I think that the show has been in a slow decline over the last 3 or 4 seasons, but it is still a half hour well spent. There is nothing better than watching the old, gold episodes.

Friends suck donkey b#lls. My life is meaningless now I can't get my daily fix of Simpsons.
