At the risk of being a smartass, is there any truth in the rumour back then that premiership shirts were made up for A's and B's (on the same shirt) before the game? That rumour went around very quickly after the siren.

Nah, no truth to that. Then the b grade shirts (who did win) would have div 7 & div 7R written on them which they don't. I'm sure things were put in place in case we did win, but i guess all clubs would do that if they wanted to get the shirts that night.

Getting them printed up beforehand is just asking for trouble!!

hounds: not saying that rumour aint true..but seriously..we hear that every year..i dont believe any of them..takes 1-2 hours to makes t-shirts when the producer already knows what to put on it..game ends at 4.45, by 6.30 u have them on..only a true bunch of idiots would ever presume they would win and get t-shirts made before the game is played..even the eternal optimist would wait..just in case..but it takes all types..might be true but knowing the president down there..i can tell u now..it didnt happen

The result; SHOC's won the A2 flag by 1 solitary point in the biggest choke in SAAFL history. It is still laughed about to this day.

Not sure if they admitted to the t-shirts, but it is a well known "story" in amateur league

Ill say this and Zedman I can see you laughing while I say this.......The story of them out on the grog on the friday night with their shirts on was told to me by some bloke close to me who drives a cab.He claims he picked them up in the early hours. Now Zedman do you see why I said aparently?
