I presume that you are being a little sarcastic with that comment right?? Goolwa would not get within 10-15 goals of Cove and even thats being a little generous.

We'll see how it pans out then, cove's best player is a Goolwa lad, Josh Vick. Be interesting to see whether he plays or not. He is worth 3 or 4 goals himself, but i believe Goolwa have a pretty good side this year, not saying cove isn't good, we know they are around the mark but will be interesting.

The difference between the 2 is huge from last year so Goolwa have a long way to go. In saying that hopefully Goolwa do get within 10 goals on Cove, will say a lot for them and how they are going.

Josh Vick is a local lad from Goolwa as a kid, doesnt mean much to this game tho. Altho i did hear on the vine that he may well end up at Goolwa in the next year or 2 to go and play there again.

Last year im sure it would have been a 15-20 goal differance but i think Goolwa will be a 10 goal better side this season.

I have also heard that Vicky may return in the next couple of years, believe Creeks tried poaching him for some very good coin though, Goolwa won't match what they offered. Last season at cove?

Goolwa have definatley improved their list and i hope its all on the up for them but i would think that cove will touch them up a bit. Goolwa didnt have a massive list to build from last season. either way its always good to SFL and GSFL teams hit it out just for the sake!

Gees you blokes aren't bad few pages back you read Vick is gone has signed elsewhere etc etc now he has signed with Cove ppl are saying well next year he will leave...He has very strong ties with Cove and I think you will find he will be there for a few years to come yet!!!
As for Goolwa Cove trial i spose it will depend on what outfit both sides put out... I don't know Goolwa well however if they were bottom of GSFL then i would suspect both teams at there best Cove by 10 plus!!!

That was a fair while back Jono and yes he was being lured by some big coin at the Creeks and im sure there were calls from a couple of other clubs.

I only mention he may end up at Goolwa as its what he told a good mate who is married to my cousin and plays footy with me. Just speculating at this stage Jono ur very protective of ur precious cobra arent you. Yes he has strong ties with Cove but would u travel as far as he does to play there? Long way!!!

Goolwa v Cove trial will be interesting , maybe not so much for the cove outfit but for the saints to see where they are at , always better to pit yourself against better teams than get a false sense of security by beating a weaker club . Goolwa to play Mt Barker also in a trial .

Morphies - Willunga (the big one)
Goolwa - Cove
Happy Valley - Mclaren

Have heard that Aldinga have organised a 20/20 style tournament in late March.
Bit of prize money on offer with Encounter Bay hosting and playing with Salisbury North entering aswell. After success at Happy Valley surely it's a good idea. With a night final being played under E/B's lights should still attract a fair crowd. Any one else heard much about this?
Well done to the football ops crew at these clubs for endeavouring to spark some interest.

Have just been informed by my sources that James Harris has had a meeting at Morphett Vale about a return to the Emus.
1997. Now that was a great year.

I think you might find that Morphies only play Willunga once. Think one of the trials has been cancelled (not the AFL curtain raiser)

Also heard that the local messenger are going to really build this trial up and i think their is talk of making this an annual event i.e the premier of SFL play the premier of GSFL.

Its been an annual event for 4 years now.

I think you will find both clubs are excited but will not be taking anymore out of it than a normal trial. Its both clubs first hitout so lets be honest both sides will be rusty as and the standard will not be as good as we would see in Rd10. That said its a great advertisement for local football, so kudos to the South Adelaide Football Club.
