I was very impressed with Tsonga last night, I think we're going to hear a lot more about this guy.

Federer still has to get past James Blake, which will then setup a likely semi-final versus Novak Djokovic, who is currently flogging David Ferrer 6-0 6-3 and up a break 4-2 in the third set.

Federer by no means guaranteed a place in the final yet, looking at the quality of opponents still in his side of the draw.

Nadal, on the other hand looks a certainty to be playing Sunday night and will be a tough opponent for either Federer, Blake or Djokovic.

Federer v Djokovic

This will be a cracker and im actually goin to say that i think that Djokovik has his best chance of beating the Fed express in a grand slam semi final. Djokovik has been in outstanding form and Federer has not been at his best and for the first time in a long time he looks a little shaky.

So im tippin a Djokovik v Nadal final !!!

I've been a avid tennis follower for a long time, played the game for 25 years, and holy shit last night he was a machine...

If he holds his nerve he will smash Novak or Rodger...

I hereby retract my comment upon viewing that photo!

Yes, Tsonga was unbelievable last night against Nadal. Nadal hadn't dropped a set, nor even looked like dropping one until last night. Amazing stuff! I hadn't even heard of Tsonga until he knocked Hewitt out of the Adelaide International - I just wrote it off as another Hewitt choke, although now it is easy to see why he lost!

The Australian Open always has a knack of throwing up relatively unknown (at the time) finalists such as Baghdatis, Gonzalez and now Tsonga. Invarilbly though they always seem to get thrashed in straight sets by R. Federer in the final.

It is still hard to go past him, even though he hasn't made the final yet.

LMAO Tsonga was good but suggesting anyone will "smash" Federer is selling the genius of the man far too short. Can Tsonga beat Federer? Yes. Is he likely to "smash" him? No.

I would have thought as an avid tennis follower you would be aware how good Federer is and how he is capapble of winning even when not at his absolute best. He is possibly the best of all time and you are suggesting an unseeded bloke playing in his first grand slam final will "smash" him if he holds his nerve Perhaps getting a little carried away with that statement.

All that said Djokovich has a very good chance of knocking Federer off anyway but i don't think it will happen.
