I know Lipari left for opportunity as he wasn't going to play A grade at Cove.... As for Weidemann i don't know i am still under the assumption he will play at Cove....I know there are a lot of ppl on here that said he has signed and gone but, reports from Cove officials is there still confident he will stay!!!! Does anyone know the clearance rules say Weeds has signed elsewhere can Cove hold him?? He played all his juniors there.. I don't know the rule!!!
Statham would be a huge in for any side in the SFL has he signed with Brighton...
Will Flagstaff release size to another SFL club do we think? If they don't obviously like Cove they rate him 2!!

Yes, Size will be released without any fuss. Think the attitude is that if he doesn't want to be there then he definately not wanted there.
Not a huge loss for Flaggies, he is obviously a big boy, but has no heart, and maybe took 3 pack marks all last season.
What made Cove think he is worth 2-3 hundred a game?

Jono - I have seen Lippa (Number 2 I think), What makes you say he cant play A grade. I have seen a number of games in 06 & 07 and think he showed a fair bit on a HB or HFflank. Tight Lines, what are your thoughts? Also heard Jordy Caloquan may be off to CLG?

From what i have seen of Lippa he is a very handy player at Cove, can't see him playing in the B-grade if he was to stay there.

Nah not at all ZC, I would have to admit I'm not in favour of how he told my club he was not playing for us (6 word text messge) after having committed but no sour grapes. I like to think all parties are moving on, we have wished him well for 08 and only imagine the decision must have been hard enough to make for anyone. In relation to another poster in this thread who ask why Cove are paying him 2-300 could be because there was a lot of interest in the man from a lot of clubs in the GSFL and SFL, he is a big and young unit and they dont come around everyday, it MAY also be the case that Size used this as a bargaining tool to ram his price up. Again not sour grapes as many players do this.

Flaggies may not release Size because as he played all his juniors with the club, he is required to give 3 years senior service before being cleared to another SFL club. Will be interesting because Flaggies may take the stance and make him come back or sit out for a year, rather than him playing for an opposition club!
