Albert Park isn't that deep. If Cossie got in, he'd flood the race track and all the swans would be left scrambling on the main straight.
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

Lets draw a comparism
ROY = Right handed Gary Sobers.
Same heritage
Bat similar
bowl meduim pace
bowl spin
brilliant fieldsman

The difference is SOBERS did his craft consistently for about a decade
ROY has done it for about 12 months.

In the last 12 months ROY has been performing Soberesque
If he plays like this for another 5 years they will be measuring ROY + SOBERS in the same breath

RW hes not as good as Sobers +I know what your saying but if he plays like this for 5 years in a row ...

Seems like Cossie lost all form and confidence during the 20/20 campaign ...... fail in the 2nd innings tomorrow it could be time to drop him, but i reckon a score is just around the corner.

When is the next time he will see a ton?

a) when he jumps on the scales?
b) tomorrow at junction oval?

at long odds im going out on a limb and backing the latter !!

Perhaps the laid back attitude of Symonds, his QLD 'ocker' life style may have held him back from achieving the levels of dedication even the most gifted have to aspire to in order to play all forms of the game at the level he currently does.

Dedication should be in the title of this thread.I remember hearing Cossie talk about his training regime, and how he did it then went home and laid on the lounge, sounds like he is really putting in the hard yards.

No doubt Boof has given him advice on what is required when your natural physique does not lend itself to being an elite sportsman. All comes down to will, drive and dedication.(That word again)

I think they should BOTH be playing their last games for quite a while. Unless they shedazzle us with hitherto unsuspected talents in the remainder of this match.
Also, unfortunately, if they happen to get dropped (unlikely), they'll be thrown straight back in after a couple of half-decent performances, as opposed to playing themselves into serious form with an extended stint in Grade cricket.
