48 pts, CRIKEY! What will the new import think?

Im a HUGE Phil Smyth fan, how could I not be when he rocked up to the Rooster Rally years ago but yep agreed, time for something different.
Phil will always be remembered as the 6ers best coach though with 3 great championships.
Be interesting if he got a gig somewhere else as a change of scenery might be good for him too, it worked OK with his basketball when he played.

Yeah, like perhaps investing some decent coin in quality players that are young enough to make serious impact and front up every night ... When you compare our squad (which has been very VERY ordinary) with others in recent years, the General hasn't actually done that bad ... One of his best recruits in the last 3 years has been a 40yr old Lanard Copeland.

History shows us Smyth can build a quality team (think back to the days when guys like Stiff, Holmes, Forman, Sapwell etc could only get a run as benchmen), but I seriously question the competitiveness of the resources at his disposal in recent years.

Can someone tell me if we actually fielded a full team or only had 4 blokes on the court?
