Dellacqqua just beat schnyder - into third round- well played

She was fantastic in the last 2 sets. Was a pleasure to watch.

Molik was out classed in every aspect by a very very good player who may be a dark horse for the tournament.

Roddick has been a bit rusty but with match practise still will make quarters and Semis then struggle. Richard Gasquet is looking really really good and is a under rated player IMO.

Off track for a second, Has anyone been to the Aus Open? Favourite Game watching if have? I saw Kournikova V Hingis early in Annas career, Highlight for obvious reasons. Also saw her serve 32 double faults yet still win in 3 against Ai Sugiyama of Japan.

Seen Agassi play it was awesome !!!

Baghdatis knocked out Safin in 5 sets in one of the best games i have seen for a while.

Lleyton is not in the same ball park as these 2 at the moment and will need to pull off a big upset to beat him IMO.

I love watching Safin play, so much emotion, power and skill. Brilliant stuff.

Well i have seen 2 magnificent moments in tennis 2 nights in a row.

Young Australian Casey Dellacqua beat Patty Schneider last round and tonight she has knocked out experienced seed Amelie Mauresmo in 3 sets. She fought so hard and has terrific mental toughness. She is now the top ranked Australian women.

Well Done Casey

What a terrific treat for tennis fans the last two nights have been. Well and truly spoilt IMO.

Roddick and Kohlschreiber are playing a cracker ATM.

Currently 5 to 2 in the Morning in Melbourne and it is 6-5 on serve in the last. Roddick has saved 3 match points with massive aces. 238km was the quickest.

40 aces to Roddick. Some amazing serving and games.

Roddick out in 5. 8-6

42 Aces in a game for Roddick. Most he has ever served in a match and he still lost.

Kohlschreibers served 38 and was breathtaking. Look for this man to rise up the rankings if he continues to play like that. (Currently seeded 29)

What a couple of nights

Lleyton Hewitt's opponent tonight, Novak Djokovic is a funny man. Does numerous impersonations of fellow players on the circuit. Below is a link to a youtube video showing him doing locker-room impersonations of Hewitt, then Roddick, then Federer, then Nadal and then Sharapova. It is piss funny:

The funniest thing about it, is all the players he does have won Grand Slams, and he's done shit !!

I'd wait until I have at least got the runs on the board before taking the piss out of Federer....

The game needs more colourful characters - like Ivan Lendl.

Only a matter of time before The Joker wins a Grand Slam.

Quarter finals for the girls today...
Seems to be a Beauty v the Beast scenario

Henin v Sharapova
V Williams v Ivanovic
Jankovic v S Williams..........Jankovic defeated Serena in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
Radwanska v Hantuchova

Some good eye candy there to watch today !!

Hope Sharapova meets Ivanovic in the final, as Maria does not like playing girls who are better looking then her....
