Baxter was there last year and gave it a good go.

Tough reserves side to crack as they did make the GF but when playing looked slow. Definitely didnt handle the step up from SFL to 2s footy and would need to quicken his decision making up if hes going to make it.

Hopefully he does get some games and impresses hes a good lad!

From all reports, Tailem Bend

What would be Weidemann's connection with Tailem (apart from $$'s)? I think there was a ruckman from Cove at Tailem last year, would that be it??

Weeds has gone and it wasnt his younger brother he hasn't trainied yet. Ive been out and there was no one being called Weeds running around.

Patt Gabb from 18's a few years ago is a plumber and ran into Matty Dent who works at tradelink at St Marys. Pattys one mountain of a man so Matty asked if he would like to play footy for Taliem and signed him up. Patty gave over Weeds number to Dent in the Pre season and he gave Weeds a ring. Saying that he reckons he'll give South a crack again but he's been out once.

Money was a small reason think you'll find that a few people at Cove got under weeds skin alot and couldn't handle it anymore being the main reason for him leaving.

Also heard that Lippa has gone to CLG not SHOCS????

Obviously you missd the port game when he got ex a.f.l. player harry miller holding the ball and then kicked the sealer!! I know i'll get bagged for saying this but he is one of best young players in the Southern league and deserves a crack. As well as being young and enthusiastic he has great set of hands and a huge engine.

So what if he's a jerk and can't kick a drop punt!!

Sounds spectacular Lion Heart. Did u read about it or watch it?

Fingers crossed he does make it, i just offered some advice to him from what i saw whilst he was playing. No harm in that. Very fit, so if the quicker decision making comes along will be a handy player at Panther land in 08.

Why would Lippa leave Cove to go to SHOCS or CLG anyway, his been there for years!

Thought he may have gone with Weiderman to Tailem, if anywhere?

I think Tailem has probably used up all their "points" so would be restricted on who else they could recruit.

How good is Weidermann, would he be expected to dominate in the RMFL? Best asset high marking? Think i read on here somewhere his kicking can be dodgy at times..

That's a few of the younger guys who have left Cove now. Most of them heading to CLG with Crichton. An area Cove may have to address if they are to remain competitive in the future?

Who will win the 20/20 preseason competition at Happy Valley?

Happy Valley?
Reynella?
Mt Lofty?
Edwardstown?

Four team comp this year to be played only on friday nights from the 15th of Feb

My tips Reynella

How did Lofty go last year?
Sounds like a very competitive series.
Good chance to try things, play younger kids and win some money for the clubs involved.
ZC your footy club obviously isn't involved. Maybe they could start up the 9 a side at Morphett Vale again, that was quite successful. NOT!

Latest rumours/information going around are:

4 or 5 brighton fringe A graders are off to the RMFL this season, dont know all names, one I think is Ash Bastien.

Former Glenelg league player Craig Statham, is very close to signing with Brighton, back from OS. Not sure who his junior club was?

Matt Potts from Happy Valley has signed with Encounter Bay.

Morph Vale will get back from injury, OS, and other clubs - W Pittman, Aron Hill, Kain Hewitt, Andy Stagg, James Harris and Matt Hodge, for this season.

And as I previously stated about Aldinga, to then Have Fudd03 deny it, Aldinga have recruited 6 or 7 SAAFL players. Is confirmed by x-sharkey on the Aldinga forum. Dont know any names.
