I was simply stating there are some logistical issues with a super league. sorry if I speak the truth a little too abruptly for you dutchman.
As for the amount of posts I have written. Maybe a like to keep to a few topics and only post somthing when it is actually required.
272 posts wowee. very impressive. but when your commmenting on every league in S.A. im sure the posts just write themselves? Seems to me like you are a jack of all trades master of none and just trying to put your finger in every pie.

What league did you play/coach your footy in? With your wealth of knowledge I would assume you have a few hundred games under your belt.

Is that constructive enough for you dutchman?

Here's a thought Speccy instead of simply pointing out the faults in others ideas why don't you sit in your little room and come up with something that may resemble an answer to the problem the leagues have? The forum is for voicing opinions whether you agree or not means nothing to anyone on here but seeing as you have jumped on someone for having an opinion don't be surprised if your opinion isn't more closely scrutinised!

Don't jump on Speccy for pointing out a fault, if no-one did it you'd have all sorts of half cocked ideas going through.

First of all Morphetville Park to Goolwa isn't that big a trip. Would it be about an hour? That's bugger all, try living in the country. I trained 35 mins away from my house.

The junior and senior competitions could be separated. This is what happens in the SAAFL. You could even have 2 divisions in SFL clubs and maintain the current GSFL juniors. However this may be considered detrimental to the club having juniors play on different days or at different locations.

Would city clubs have to fork out more money because their players would be travelling further?

Great idea Mickey but I can't see the GSFL teams competing with the top SFL teams. I think you'd just end up adopting a couple of the shit ones.

Would be better than playing against some of the teams that you beat by 40 - 70 goals as you seem to play them for 3 or 4 weeks in a row before you play the 1 or 2 teams that are competitive.

Slammer, my suggestion to you is to drive from Morphettville Park of a morning to Goolwa to watch the U/14's go around, then come back to us all with a detailed report on how this "proposed" system would work... I am hoping this in an uneducated opinion only and you have no say when it comes to making league defining decisions. With the number of postings you have made perhaps you should stick to being an observer only. Just a suggestion.

Speccy, instead of critisizing maybe some other constructive ideas might be good!! I presume you are from Morphettville park so maybe you wont have to worry in a couple of years when your club has either folded or run away to another league with your tails between your legs.
Maybe Juniors could stay in the league they play in currently and just the seniors play in the combined comp (i know this happens in the spencer gulf league and works and then the top team in each comp plays off at end of season)
I didnt know you had juniors down there anyway and if you did i would of thought you might be a bit more successful instead of holding up the rest of the league every year.
I also see you are a very experianced poster with a big 16 to your credit!!!

Maybe we should ask Cheese Twisties how things are out there? Do they have Juniors CT and are the parents the types that would go out of there way for there boys to play at Goolwa? What sort of numbers have they been getting on the track?

I didn’t realise that critising one post would make me public enemy number one. I have obviously ruffled a few feathers and didn’t realise slammer had a harem of supporters waiting to shut me down.
Thanks for the support Andy#24, without critisism what is the point of this forum. we all cant just agree on everything. obviously we have a group of guys on the forum that don’t like there boyfriends being picked on so they come to the rescue. i.e. Dutchman and zelezny.

I will say that I do apologise for the call about the number of posts you've had slammer. Lots of posts don’t mean much. this is proven by a couple of members who have had over 200 posts each and we are all still waiting for the first intelligent one.

Surely we can put this issue to bed know and I will try and refrain from commenting on or critising any of your ideas however obscure and pointless they are....but I cant promise anything!

1. place to express yourself: a medium in which the public may debate an issue or express opinions

I wont agree with what everyone says but it seems that a lot of critism happens unnecesarily on thes forum perhaps we should let people express themselves rather than knock them down! But in return perhaps we could all write better posts with a tad more thought! Me include! :)

I was well and truely finished until your boyfriends jumped in as well. At least when I have pot shots at blokes I do it by myself. I am puttin you in the same boat as zelezny because if you look back through the posts you both carry on at eachother and then stick up for eachother a few pages later. the forum is riddled with your bickering.
Have you got a love/hate relationship?

and while were discussing my PM, all it said was I was happy for you to discuss any of my questions in regards to where your from and how many games youve played or coached. so I can see the what sort of football knowledge you have behind your comments.
Still waiting????

I think the problem was Speccy you attacked the man and not just his comment. It's ok to disagree with a post but no point getting childish about it and attack the poster themselves.

Since when did playing the game become a prerequisite for football knowledge yes it helps but a useless footballer can still become a good coach? As for being in bed with Dutchman put simply he has a go at me I have a go at him no hard feelings you were critical of slammer in your first post addressing his issue?

Be careful Speccy you lose all credibility when you crack 25 posts!
