agreed swooper, chunks would have to have the most annoying and useless comments on the forum...

can confirm Maher is taking a year off footy, but wouldnt say he's retiring at all,Body needs a bit of a rest..

also a whisper in the wind is ex hackham junior Ben woodhouse is considering playing in the sfl this season instead of having a year off wich was previously planned. not sure where his ties are or who is interested but would be a handy pick up for ANY side you would think.

hey Mexican, heard an A Grade player that played juniors for Aldinga hasnt signed on yet and is considering playing out at the dingy? cant remember his name, but think the boys call him
B!TCH TITS or something.Any truth to the rumour?

Careful on what Mahary has to say boys, i'll believe it when the season is over and he hasn't played a game. Burnt the Emu's a few years back (pre-flags, maybe 04). Had a meeting with football director, Pottsy and recruiting group, agreed in principle in coming over from the Valley, contract penned out and all that was required was a signature, went a tad cold on it and told the football director that he had changed his mind and that he was going to have a year off instead, 12 weeks later he ran out for the Valley in round 1. Don't get me wrong nothing wrong with staying at 1 club, i commend that, but to pull another club's chain like that i consider to be unacceptable. Good player and would've fitted in well at the Emu's, just don't like the way he does business.

As for B!tch T!ts BRD... Nice form...

Who's R Hart??? Is that the bloke who plays at Aldinga? Wouldn't that be the SFL, not GSFL? Unless the rumours of him going to Encounter Bay are true???

Bachmann has to realise nothings going to be handed to him.
If he does the work, i believe he will play league football.
If he has to go through the magoo's, so be it play & show why you deserve to be in the League side.
Only form & consistent form at that will keep you in the League side.
If his attitude is what you've stated burglar, he shouldn't be wasting his & the clubs time.
He's better than that.

Very poor form my Mahar, sound like he was trying to get a better deal with the Valley's! Any other news on HV, has Steve Young or any of those guys that left returned? Surely Keam retired?

Agree with you No-Mercy.
He should at least give it a go and see what happens. He could always go back to Christies half way through the year if he cant break into the 1's.
He is still out there from all reports.
But i would rather get $300 a weekend than $50 (ex gst) thats for sure.

So would i burglar, its a long year & i believe he'll make it.
He just has to persist because when he does make it & proves what he can do go, he'll get $600 plus down the track & that will make up for the tough times, if there are any in the magoo's on $60-80.

Slammer wrote:Any one read Micky Conlons coments on the last page about a super league with SFL and GSFL, seems like a reasonable idea and will probably either make it easier for a couple of the struggling teams to come up to bat or be wiped out totally.
Would be better than playing against some of the teams that you beat by 40 - 70 goals as you seem to play them for 3 or 4 weeks in a row before you play the 1 or 2 teams that are competitive.

Slammer, my suggestion to you is to drive from Morphettville Park of a morning to Goolwa to watch the U/14's go around, then come back to us all with a detailed report on how this "proposed" system would work... I am hoping this in an uneducated opinion only and you have no say when it comes to making league defining decisions. With the number of postings you have made perhaps you should stick to being an observer only. Just a suggestion.
