Looking forward to seeing the curtain raiser Mex, hopefully both teams are close to full strength.

I wonder if the Emus and Willunga will miss out on any profits and South will take the lot? A lot of people will only be going to see the curtain raiser!

Don't think they should see it as missing out on profits, as far as I know, they never charge for the trial games anyway Dutchman.

So people dont pay for food or drinks either ZC? These profits would otherwise go to the home club.

I know playing the curtain raiser is a good opportunity for both clubs, but i dont think they should miss out financially.

Nothing too exciting just yet Beetlejuice... Start pre-o on the 29th January... Been a good break and seems like the boys are all refreshed and are itching to get back into it... Not sure that feeling will be the same once we are all pounding the soft sand somewhere...

Any one read Micky Conlons coments on the last page about a super league with SFL and GSFL, seems like a reasonable idea and will probably either make it easier for a couple of the struggling teams to come up to bat or be wiped out totally.
Would be better than playing against some of the teams that you beat by 40 - 70 goals as you seem to play them for 3 or 4 weeks in a row before you play the 1 or 2 teams that are competitive.

Good to see Reynella knock back Aldinga trying to play them on a sunday, good way to put down a club trying to build some supprt, good work at Happy Valley allowing Aldinga to play them at Happy Valley as a night game but boo to the Reynella executives, good to see you are supporting your league...

you need to remember reynella want a trial for their reasons too. Aldinga want a challenge, so do reynella.

Im not trying to belittle dingy in anyway but you need to see where reynella are coming from. On the other hand, i hope dingy are competive enough against sides like reynella next year. Like wise with hackham.

It's not a trial hills it is for a game i think it is round 10, and when you look at the scores last season i think you will find Aldinga did take it up to Reynella...

That is terrible news for Aldinga i know they had some good marketing planned for that sunday game, with the sunday estate building in the precinct, no wonder no-one like Reynella... Could this be happening because Harty didn't sign with them, that is pretty fickle what is the word fly why didn't reynella agree to a sunday game, it's not as if it going to hurt them in any way...

Sunday games between Morphettvale and Reynella are traditional and that is all i can tell you, create your own tradition by inviting another club in the SFL that does not have Sunday games now maybe!!

Believe the rumour that Mahar from Valleys has retired is true. Apparently another injury to his arm has seen him hang up the boots. Big loss for the vikings.
