TNA Vs. WWE

As a Rassling fan I have notice that TNA is slowly overtaking WWE Smackdown in ratings and more and more fans are looking at TNA as the next big thing. Now how many of you rassling fans on this site have seen TNA and how many prefer it to the WWE. I know I do and I have all Impact's and PPV's from Genesis05 through to Bound For Glory 07

TNA rocks, WWE blows.
Im amazed that its catching WWE in ratings though, I didn't think they'd be close due to the difference in budget and size of the respective companies.
WWE= quantity
TNA= quality

Even paid for a TNA PPV today which I could download for free 6 hours later!

TNA's a bit smaller but very similar to when WCW was its best and kicking the arse out of WWE.
Hope it doesn't go the same way and end up in Vince's hands!

It Won't because it is being better managed and the Jarrett's and Panda industries didn't make the same mistake that WCW did and allow wrestlers creative control over themselves. That is what killed WCW is Hogan didn't want to lay down to anyone he didn't have to. Easy E killed WCW and they proved that they had no idea's losing Eddie, Chris, Perry and Dean in one foul swoop really did kill WCW.

Wedgie People are being turned off the WWE because VINCE OWNS wrestling and as far as Vince is concerned he is Wrestling end of Story. The WWE don't care about TNA and TNA does care about the WWE they prefer to worry about themselves first.

I'm not sure TNA Impact is that close to WWE Smackdown's ratings.

TNA's PPV buys (which is where the $$$ comes in) are much much lower than WWE's, anywhere from a fifth to a tenth of what WWE gets (even though many of WWE's PPVs are rubbish).

On a different note, there is a show at North Adelaide this week on Saturday night:

It might because the company has always run at a loss. If Panda Energy pulled out, the company would most likely be history.

If you want a funny read as to why WCW died have a read through these pages (all the quotes are true):

WWE needs a total overhaul!
For a start (I know they're on RAW)
Get rid of the tired boring, living in the past redneck tossas on the announce team
Good Ol' J.R. (wouldn't look outa place at a Ku Klux Klan rally)
&
Jerry 'The King' Lawler (ever since he became a 'face' announcer RAW has sucked beyond belief!)
But on top of every thing else...
Piss off Vince McMahon!
His over inflated ego , arrogance, ignorance & complacency (being at the top for so long)
is really hurting his product!
I've pretty much given up on RAW/Smackdown for the past 6-8 months & fair dinkum
I don't miss a bloody thing!
...& don't get me started on the absolute disgrace & desecration Vinnie Mack has done to the one time glorious
ECW
...& how dare they call it World Wrestling Entertainment?
More like Jingoistic Xenophobic Septic Tank Wrestling Entertainment
if you ain't a Yank you're more than likely gonna be portrayed as Scum of the Earth!
VINCE McMAHON SUCKS!!!

The irony of Panda Industries is that the Giant Panda is the symbol for the World Wildlife Fund 'WWF'
Now where have I heard those initials before?
GO THE GROWL!!!

I'd like to see stats that support that. The recycled WWE wrestlers wouldn't be cheap.

Lol at this one:

"It wasn't Bret Hart driving the monster truck nor was Sid in the car that was being run over, although both were the original plan. Hart was told what part of the car to drive over and where Sid would be in the car so as to not drive over him. Hart refused saying he wasn't an experienced stunt driver. There was no problem with his decision and he was apologized to for being asked" - The Wrestling Observer Newsletter: January 10, 2000.

Cheers Wedgie.

If TNA was on Foxtel/Free to air, their ratings would be through the roof. I still watch WWE but id prefer to watch Sting, Booker T, Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner rather than Edge, Umaga and most of the rest. The only ones I like on WWE are Cena, Jeff Hardy, Jericho and The Undertaker. The Storylines on WWE are rediculous (WWE - McMahon faking his own death & on Smackdown - Edge and Vicki Guerrero). Me watching Smackdown will never happen. And as for ECW, episode after episode featuring only John Morrison, Miz and Big Daddy Vee, no thanks.

Mic the highest paid TNA wrestler is Sting on 500,000 us a year and the lowest paid is around $300 per show. Dixie Carter who is the president of TNA is the daughter of the owner of Panda Energy. Spike TV also pays the wrestlers salaries to improve TNA. But getting some of these former WWE stars is helping build TNA . A few of these stars were also in WCW also and you need the old stars to help make way for the new stars and to build and teach. IF we didn't have Angle help Samoa Joe we would more than likely end up with more crappy wrestlers like Hulk Hogan and John Cena. I am a Ric Flair fan more than hogan Flair could wrestle a mop and make the mop look good.

Speaking of TNA and I know you're aware of this Strawb, after finding a bit of TNA stuff in Kmart we were in Toys R Us yesterday and found a few dolls for $9.95 each. Son was happy, he got Abyss, he's now got something like 20 wrestlers so he has a great Royal Rumble going!
