I withdrawl my comments about Mr Laxman on previous posts lol. I just hate the p***k for that innings at Eden Gardens in 2001.IMO better effort than England beating us in 2005 because Australia were playing some bloody good cricket before India stopped them dead (even though it was only a 3 test series), also I beleive the 2001 Australian XI was better than the 2005 team by quite a bit......

Dravid has been absolutely rubbish since arriving here, another crap innings. Yeah he made 50 but he took nigh on 500 balls to reach it. A complete waste, if you are going to be in that long make some runs.

Johnson finally removed Dravid, who edged to Hayden. Terrible stroke considering how long he has been in. No 2s or 3s, he is a terrible runner too.

Another wicket! Hoggy gets Laxman, not a bad delivery, ordinary shot, good hands Hussey!

Superb innings by a champion batsman.

Laxman a brilliant ton.

Bad bad shot by Dravid considering the massive amount of hard work he had put in. Laxman is worse than Dravid when it comes to running between the wickets. It seems to be a part of Indian cricket, probably lost 30-40 runs out there today by not running hard enough.

Looking forward to tomorrow with Ganguly and Sachin still in.

Impressive start by India this morning:

3/272
Ganguly 57*
Tendulkar 27*

Both looking very steady and settled. If these two are around at lunchtime, look to India to press on for a big score somewhere close to that of Australia.

Dont all these guys look wonderful batting on a flat deck.
The commentators are raving how exqusite these Indian batters look.
I cant wait for Perth when these flat track sissys will be exposed [except Sachin he is a champ]

Ganguly caught at mid on.

Very lazy shot for someone in such good form. Was really looking good.

Big test for Yuvraj now

Another big name 1 day player who struggles to handle OZ test conditions and pressure. Indian tail starting at 6 with him in team. Looked like Tendulkar had no confidence in him with the nervous play once Gangles was out.

I do agree with you mal in some respect. Laxman for example is very good on a flat deck. I mean he is probably one of the best to watch on a flat deck.

Yeah a tad parochial, and yea they are good to watch when conditions favour them
But I think they will look awful in Perth

Must be a great deck to bat on PUP , even Yuvraj got to double figures

I do agree with you in parts.

I love watching the top 5 bat but i do agree it will be interesting to see how they play in Perth.

Dhoni out also beaten by pace and bounce which may just add to your theory.

Starting to agree. I'm a big advocate for giving a guy a decent go, and he's had a go now. If he doesn't show something in the last innings (or cleans up the tail perhaps here) he's in real trouble. Let him work on his game in the PC and no doubt he'll come back much improved.

Have to agree, bowling to wide of the off stump continually, easy pickings for a class batsman like the little master, even the tonker Harbijan isnt having too many problems, at least Tait is at the timber 9 times out of 10

India have the lead, well done to them, looks like the end of the 15 win run, surely barring a huge Aussie collapse tonight/tomorrow the test will end in a draw.

Way India are going there is nothing to stop them now from getting a big lead, if they can hang in till lunch tomorrow they would have a lead around 100-130, that may just well put enough pressure on the aussies, rememebr the top order struggled and they would not have got over 400 if it wasn't for some very poor umpiring, I think that this match could end up very very close in the end and I would not be suprised if the Indians pull this one off
