Aussies 2/133.

Lead by 280.

I can't see the Indians coming back from here on this pitch.. our pace attack will trouble them again.

GEEEEEEZZZZ Test cricket is Boring. Is there any team in the world that can challenge Aust over 5 Days ?????
I Think NOT.
Even the world 11 got thrashed the other year.
Lets turn Test Cricket into a Handicap Event to make it Interesting.
All Teams get a 150 Run Start would at least keep the game interesting for 2 days maybe.

Crap, yesterday was a great day today was so absorbing great to watch good bowling turn teh screws....

Fair call Tassie, I actually Think Test cricket is the Best form of the Game, its just that i wish some country could actually Challenge Australia to Add some more Interest to it Like England did in 2005.
It gets a Bit (in fact a LOT) monotonous watching Australia Win so easily all the time.

Take care JJ
AU only has 2 established test bowlers CLARK/LEE in test cricket
When LEE tires this attack could be cannon fodder
In Australia we may still be invincible
On overseas tours we might struggle to bowl teams out.
JOHNSON/HOGG/TAIT are still to prove themselves at International level

I never get bored of AU winning
I can recall the 80s when NZ creamed us in a series + WI slaughtered us at home all the time
Enjoy the dominance as it inevitably must end
It did with the Roman Empire.

Take care with the Indians
When they become acclimatised and find a nice flat placid pitch they will improve
sharply with thier batting as they thrive on low bouncing decks.

5/243

Symonds out LBW to Khan

Khan has bowled really well IMO, Bowled Symonds of a no ball and should have had him caught behind as well.

Doesn't give a straight Plumb LBW but then Just Fires out Symonds lbw to Zaheer Kahn bowling Left arm around the wicket to a Right Hander playing slightly forward to a Ball that didn't straighten down the line at all.
Kahn was Very Very lucky to get the Decision in this scenario as you almost forfeit the chance to get an lbw in this scnario unless the batsmen plays right back on his stumps or the bowler straightens the ball down the line from stump to stump.
I'm Not a Symonds Fan Nor am i Knocking Silly Billy, I'm Just comparing the 2 Decisions.
Its a Tough job for the Umps.

Declare tomorrow. Keep batting I reckon, we will still have plenty of time to bowl these Indians out.

On a sidenote... why did they include the Tied Test score in the list of highest 4th innings totals by India to win???

When you get the job as the Australian captain these days you
are asked about the art of follow ons and declarations.
The batting + bowling and leadership qualities are then discussed

Australia once again showing that we are the BEST side in cricket.

I cant see the Indians making the 499 required even with 2 days to make them.

Tonight the bowlers did not put much pressure on the batsman which was a bit disappointing considering a wicket tonight would have been fantastic. Quality batting line up but the effort put up in the 1st innings would need a massive turnaround to even challenge us.

Bring on tomorrow I love Test Cricket!

Yet another enthralling day of Test cricket I missed, but it was quite enjoyable listening to it on the ABC, can't see the Indians getting the runs (thats obvious) but if they get off to a decent start and get Laxman, the Little Master and Gagully in, they may well have a bit of a run feast. Pitch according to Pup Clarke was a tad better to bat on today and may well be the same tomorrow. One feels now a little pressure on Mitchell Johnson, his two overs tonight I did see were basically crap, from memory wicketless in the 1st dig although a tad unlucky, with Tait sitting in the wings you would think he may need a couple early tomorrow. I have a feeling however that this may well go into the middle session on day 5

I hope OZ bowlers all have a good sleep tonight so they can rip in to India tomorrow, all looked a bit flat this arvo. Lee bowling in the 130's instead of letting a few 150+ go in his short spell.

Oh for Tait to be letting fly, confident the guys in the team can get the job done though.

Head to Sydney 1 nil up!

Another good days cricket.

I was actually really impressed with India today, Kahn bowled a lot better than the figures say. Singh was a little better and Kumble is an excellent bowler.

One change i would make is RP Singh out and Pathan In. Pathan can do as good a job with the ball and is a much better batsmen. I hope thats the way they go in Sydney.

I really hope that India are 2/ 280 or something like that at the end of the day tomorrow. What a day that would be and set it up for a classic. Much rests on the shoulders of Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid and Laxman. They need support from Jaffer, Yuvraj and Dhoni if they are to be any chance. Big test for Johnson and Hogg tomorrow.

Great knock by Pup today as well, so much maturity in the way he is batting. He is on the way to something special IMO.

My Prediction India 8/243 at stumps tho wouldn't be surprised to see it over 1/2 thru the last session.
