Interesting to hear about the club umpires being abused, you would think the Hills League would appriecate the help from clubs with umpires.

I think the balcony should still be loud, but not abusive. You exoect to cop a bit at any ground, but only to an extent.

Hills has always had trouble getting umps, good ones at that. From what I saw at Heathfield, the umps out there were OK, not bad, consistent though. Just some usual crap that they were on the wrong side of play from, but that's footy.
In the past, they have been so apprehensive about reporting idiots that don't play the ball.

Some great club websites.
Bridgewater: http://www.bridgewaterraiders.org.au
Blackwood: http://www.blackwoodfc.asn.au
Hahndorf: http://www.hahndorffc.com.au
Ironbank: http://www.ironbankfc.com.au
Lobethal: http://www.lobethalfc.com.au
Mt Lofty: http://www.mtloftyfootballclub.com

Have a look at these, some dont have a lot on them, but Bridgewater, Ironbank, Lobethal and Mt Lofty all have some great information and club history.

I was at Heathfield on Saturday night - great atmosphere - probably a bit intimidating for the opposition players, but very family friendly off the park.

The Lofty midfield won it easily, despite Temme probably losing out in the ruck contests. Too many options up front as well, and Fleet will kick 100 this year. A few still out for Lofty as mentioned and Cooper also currently side-lined.

And hooray for the goose in blue, white and red who kicked a ball 45m in the wrong direction into Lofty's forward lines.

Comment from Fleet after the game "I couldn't mark it, it would have been all wrong. Besides, I was pissing myself laughing."

Does anyone know if Trent Ormond Allen actually played. He didn't get in the best and they had to sell a block of land to pay his match payments.

Why on earth would trent ormand allen want to play hills footy if it wasn't for the cash!

surely he should tear it up in the hills league.

Did anyone get to the lobethal, hahndorf game to see how ormand allen and cook played

Both getting big coin I heard!
How good is footy!

trent is apparently good friends with someone at hahndorf and isnt playing for anywhere near as much as cook, sudjai got in the best but apparently was quite annoyed when ever the ball wasnt kicked to him, Trent rucked in the final stages of the game, didnt do anything to special.

I agree with Chook. I have heard that he is only playing a handfull of games before going O.S. He is obviously topping up his credit card before he goes. Great decision by Hahndorf.

Yep, heard ormand Allen knows a guy at hahndorf. Dunno about the length of time expected. But I do expect to see him ruck a bit, and I reckon maybe CHF for something different.

I also heard Cook is on around 600 a game...rumour, but I didn't laugh when I heard it.

Last time I saw Fleety he left a B grade game at half time. Good to see he's matured. Lofty have lacked a genuine goalkicker since Wilmott. Fair to say? But to be honest, at Heathfield ground, not too many blokes walk away with bags from FF.

I have just been reading the local Courier paper. Surely there are rules as a coach that stop you putting yourself in the best players. D Exelby from Ironbank

are you sure that the names listed as best players in the courier are supplied by the coach? i wouldnt jump to the conclusion that exelby put himself in the best players, the list couldve been supplied by another person within the club
