Australia Vs NZ Game 3

Postby Pup » Thu Dec 20, 2007 10:24 am

NZ won the toss and sent Aus in to bat.

Clarke and Hayden out, 2 for 55

I wonder what goes through Haydens head sometimes, he must feel the need to dominate attacks that he does not rate becuase he plays some very silly shots when he gets to 20/30+ against poor attacks.

International cricket, nothing to whinge about hence the lack of posts..... :D

It really is quite boring, give me a Redback game anyday. I'm a lot more passionate for my state than country I think!!

Not much to talk about really. Australia finished 6/282.

Ponting unbeaten on 134. Super knock again from Ponting, he is all class.

New Zealand will be bundled out for under 200 this afternoon. Be more interesting if Australia actually had some competition. Hopefully we get some good Test matches against the Indians but i can see us wiping the floor with them as well. Beats losing though and lets not forget the bad times of Australian cricket.

You were quite generous Rod - under 200? Barely going to pass 100.

7/99, 26 overs.

Aside from needing a king-size sheet, that would have made a good banner for todays match.

All over. Too easy. Good to see Tait get a few wickets, even though I didn't literally "see" it as I just got home from work in time for the final wicket.. and I even missed that while grabbing a Blonde (of the beer variety unfortunately).

no opposition in this series at all, reckon if there had been the full 2nd match we would have creamed it 3 zip, reckon New Zuland have gone along way backwards over the last 12 to 18 months

They need to pull their heads in a bit locky, there is no point mouthing off if you can't back it up. They have been deplorable for some time now, this verbal diarrhea that the Kiwis have dribbled since arriving in our beautiful country, in particular that tool Bracewell, is an attempt to deflect the attention away from their dismally poor performances.

I am still amazed that Bracewell has got the job, IMHO they have been just on average since he took over, he always comes up with some of the biggest bird poopey ever, quite simple really, get rid of him, get their last captain Fleming with assistance from Nathan Astle at the helm and they will be back playing more than above average cricket

Great dig by Ponting but today's game is an example of why 20-20 is taking over from ODI's

Bit of a yawn job

Agreed

Ponting another pretty good knock, good support by Roy.

NZ really are a joke, they have 3 decent batsmen, I doubt any of them would get a game for Australia, Good knock by Styris as well.

I hate to say this but i cant wait till we get some good competition and even lose a few games, at least we will see good contests and how Australia reacts when they have their backs to the wall.

NZ usually fight well above their weight. With a population smaller than the state of Victoria for their whole country, they do alright...
