Boys if they can get $80k then good luck to em, they should but a team with it and pump the rest into facilities also invite partners to join them at the facility (ie Netball etc - Im not sure what they can cater for currently) this would raise revenue. Once they are competitive they will attract further sponsors and more people through the gate so go and blow it over tow years on players I reckon! Also pay locals and all A'grade starters a small fee per win maybe.

The Hawks must be starting to throw a (little) bit of coin around, because a very good mate of mine was offered over $100 a game, plus transport to games & training.

that'll break the bank! Surely with all the rumours of a sizeable donation they would be able to offer a bit more than that?

I've under-stated the money, but agreed it wouldn't break the bank.
Still, 18 rounds at $100+/game= $1800+ over the season...

So were the rumours true about the club inheriting $80k??? I also heard that a few players from Yankalilla are going back to Hackham to play next season.

The blokes name is on the tip of my tounge.

fitness coach that is. he is from porties, little nugget bloke! Someone will know him.

I train at the gym with some blokes from hackham, they seem to think they are training hard and the bloke from porties is fit as and did porties preseason last year and they did ok in the end.

Still, the lads i train with say there not getting solid numbers.

Hey punk rooster, is this bloke that was offered 100 to play anygood? $100 is a fair bit of money in the SFL.

S.Kelly will he be a playing coach? also is he the brother of Dave Kelly the coach of Yank? It would be very handy if he was to bring Dave with him a ball magnet in the GSFL

Maybe a few years ago Navy. Bit slow these days but could find the footy. Think they were using him out of the forward line a few years ago and was a handy goalkicker.

I guess anyone that can half play will be handy at the Hawks tho!

Wonder if the Hawks have attempted to recruit any ex juniors they had go thru the system a few years back. Hall is obviously out of the question but guys like Shaw, Dobson and Swingler i believe all played there and were handy players!!!
