Yes I played with Gers for a number of years at Nuri. From colts through to the A's

I only played A's for a couple years then mainly B's when I moved to town so we definitely would have played together.

Paul Stewart played 10 league games in 07 and then spent the last half of the year in the two's. May have had enough of kicking the dew off the grass??? Would only be 20 and the kid obviously has a fair bit of ability. Would be a good pickup if mail is correct...

Hes AFL listed with Port Adelaide. Would be his brother being referred to i would say.

Interesting to note that in the BL&G draw there was no bye for zone football again. Pity, they would probably field 3/4 of the side now they are in the MMBB zone, with the reshufflings.

From what I've heard Barossa haven't provide that many players for association matches in the past.
Hope that's not the case though. Would love to see the MMBB win the championship this year and with Barossa on board we'd be a big chance.
A new name for the zone would be good though....

Ha ha yeah I just checked out Paul Stewart online and I saw that he is listed with Port. He is contracted until the end of 08! Maybe Barossa have matched his contract and traded one of the Stelzers to close out the deal?!?!

James Stewart is the other Stewart that played with the Eagles.... Played the last 12 or so games in the league (including finals)...

Barossa third club in line for Stewart's services - Eagles 1st choice and apprently contract negotiations have reopened with them. James won the WWEFC League Best First Year Player in 2007 - very talented player and a good get for anyone. Should be retained by the Eagles at all costs I would say, if not he will be back in 09 with an SANFL once his Eagles contract expires. Bloody good lad aswell.
