Songs that give you goosebumps?

Postby johntheclaret » Sun Dec 09, 2007 9:39 am

Just read Wedgies post on the Poll time Skyhooks or Sherbet thread, and it got me thinking.

What songs give you goosebumps and why.

One for me is Gloria by Van Morrison. Saw him earlier this year in Brighton (UK) and the musical intensity when he played this was awesome. It was the finale of the concert and the band just crazy. Everytime I hear it, it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Exactly what I thought of when I read the thread title. Sung by Christe Allen.

He gives me goose bumps, heart thumps
He makes my body jump,
I rack my brain and tear my hair
He gives me heartbreak, guts aches
I shiver and I shake,
I really nead intensive care
He has a cardiac arrestin' stare

I totally agree on that one Rog.
Very sad. Very intense.

Others:

Into My Arms
Shivers
The Ship Song
These Days (played at a friend's funeral earlier this year - the first time I'd heard it since then was when I saw Powderfinger play live. It provoked an instant emotional reaction from me. But it allowed me to close a chapter in my life).
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
