Well look at it this way. Watson - 81 runs in 3 Tests. Stats like that and anyone else would never be seen again

thats 9 less tests than symonds got to prove himself & 1 more yr of test cricket for symonds & he wouldve played more matches than boof

Won't argue with your comment on Lehmann but Watson just keeps injuring himself. He isn't much good as a bowler and by doing it he keeps hurting himself. Time to give it away and concentrate on his batting. He won't be good enough to play for Australia purely as a batsmen IMHO but at least he'd get on the park enough to give himself a chance of proving me wrong. If he keeps bowling he'll keep getting injured.

he needs to bowl so he can get in as a batsman who can be used as an option to bowl, then if he can establish himself as a batsman he can do wot steve & mark waugh, ricky ponting, damien martyn etc did & say his back & hammys are no good to bowl & then just play as abatsman

Mark Waugh, Ricky Ponting and Damien Martyn were all picked purely to bat. M. Waugh bowled a bit but when did Ponting or Martyn do any meaningful bowling?

Steve Waugh went away and proved people wrong by making a truckload of runs when his bowling waned. Watto needs to do the same.
